If i do manage to make it relatively big as a lawyer i have taxes to deal with in the top barck. 38% federal, 14% state, 9% sales tax. And the state is still in a huge debt? are u kidding me?

Are these concerns to anyone else?

Yes. These are the concerns of anyone who has actually investigated the cost vs. employment prospects of any law school. For this very reason my state schools are my top two choices and other than that just hoping for some scholarships anywhere else!

Considering USD, but am leaning towards sticker at Davis, if accepted.

Current Status: Application Received - File Complete
Current Status Date: 11/17/2009

Complete since 11/17 and still not under review...wtf?? For those accepted so far, has your status showed "under review" or something like that before you were admitted, or did it go straight from complete to decision rendered??? I have solid numbers for USD. It seems like they're trying to get their LSAT scores up for USN&W...then again, who isn't, ha. It also seems like there are a lot of people applying this year who are above both 75th percentiles, but maybe it all seems this way just because I haven't gotten in yet

Wow what a tease. That's on the level of what Lewis and Clark does.

I sent my app on 9/9, complete on 10/12, and i'm still "Application Received-File Complete". If it were a top choice I would be very frustrated, but it does make me appreciate how well Fordham has treated me.

So I didn't even apply til Nov. 23rd and as of last friday I already had a decision rendered...sounds like a lot of people who applied way earlier are still waiting...is that a good sign for me? Unfortunately all my letters are being sent to my parents address so I won't see the letter til I go home next week. Also is the financial package (scholarship $$$) included in teh email if accepted? 3.49 and 164...do you think i'll get any $$$?

Scholly info is released Mid-January.

You have a shot at some good money imo. Check LSN for last few years for an idea.

Maybe initially, but yours will be bumped to the 6 figures once some people withdraw from USD, probably.

Got my acceptance today!! Its one of the lowest "ranked" schools on my list, but high on personal preference due to its location. Can't wait to hear about financial aid!!!
