Phone call. My status checker also changed from "Waitlisted" to "Decision Rendered" today.

My numbers are not great, but I have not even been rejected/waitlisted. Was wondering if that's generally considered as a good or bad sign.

Looks like I'll be opening up a spot for one of you. Got in at Hastings, still waiting on Davis, so I say farewell now. Hope the $66k helps someone out. For those who're still waiting, don't give up just yet. USD from what I hear is drawing heavily from the waitlist. Keep at it.

Just got pulled off the waitlist and offered a seat in the full-time program at USD. I've already paid my 2nd deposit at USF, and put a deposit down on an apartment. It's just too late in the game to switch imo. Any thoughts?

Depends. If you are happy with the program at USF, why not continue it considering you are already financially invested. Both are good programs.

What area would you rather work in after law school, considering both are probably pretty regional? If you're paying full tuition at both, I would go with USD even though it would stink to lose your deposits. I'm attending USD in August though so I am a bit biased

does anyone know how loans work here? when you're awarded COL loans/tuition loans, i know that they go to USD first (they take out tuition), and then USD sends you a check for the rest. does anyone know when to expect that?

I've called and asked when that money should be available, and all they can tell me is a week before classes start; however, they weren't able to give me an exact date, so I'm assuming it should be around the 17th of August, plus or minus a couple days.

I emailed the school last week to find out if the class had been filled and all they responded with was that I could hear something as "early" as now up until the day school starts. I don't really know what that means as far as the status of the class goes but I guess we can still hope......

Did you get the info from LSN? I wonder if their status changed when they got rejected or if they just received a letter in the mail .

I did. It has been a long 10 months so I guess it will finally be nice to see decision rendered on that stupid status checker! I assume it was by email, but I really have no idea.

Wednesday is orientation. I would look for movement from the other Cali schools. If UCLA, USC, Hastings, Davis or some other schools open up I would imagine other schools would all have shifting too. I think it is all fairly set now though.
