Called Admissions yesterday to see what the hell was going on with my application. It's been with the committee for over a month and they stated that they just haven't made a decision. I am not on the waitlist, held, admitted or rejected...I'm just pending. WTF!!! I didn't get a call from the dean stating that i was on some super secret it-is-but-isnt-waiting-list. I need to know...like soon!

I'm thinking from the previous post, that I wont be notified until after the April 15th ddlne, which sucks!

At least they answered you.. I have been under review since 1/15 and when I called last week, they told me to e-mail them my question. I did that a week ago and have not heard back.

lol dude. i feel your pain. it's ridiculous. I don't know how Cardozo gets away with their admissions process....I know of 2 people who were accepted a week before the program started (i guess becuase of their lower numbers -mid to low 150's) but they want to fill those seats last minute to get their $$. It's ridic. I think I will be one of those people admitted a few days prior to the program beginning because my numbers aren't so great. :( but i would probably still go if admitted...

Best of luck to you um08 !

I'm still waiting too, but I applied late, so I'm not surprised. I scheduled a tour before my deposit deadlines at other schools so that I could meet with an admissions counselor and hopefully get a sense of whether I am going to get in.

It's 3.3 gpa, and the curve is a 3.18. I've heard it called "cardozo curve" but I have no idea how crappy that'll make it I've been trying to negotiate for more or no strings but..eh

Brooklyn also has a 40% string attached. But is Cardozo's award graduated like Brooklyn's? (Meaning, if you are in the top 40% of class, you keep 100% for 2L, if you are in top 50% of class, you keep 80% for 2L, etc etc.)

yeah it is graduated. I don't know the exact percentages, but I know if you drop then raise again the next year you can restore it in full.

Yea I am pretty sure it is:

Top 40%: 100% retained
Top 50%: 75% retained
Top 65%: 50% retained

and you can raise it again, yea. If those aren't exactly correct I will post it (if no one else does) when I get home, HTH

Scratch all that. They called me back today to inform me that a decision has not been reached on my application yet and that they will try to get back to me by April's end, if not sooner. Wow.
Looks like you have already gotten into way better schools.. Wouldn't bother me if I had that selection

Does anyone know what Cardozo's OCI figures were last year, or how to go about getting them?

Withdrew today, putting a full ride back into the pot. Just didn't know if I wanted to be stuck in NYC (probably don't - like smaller cities).

did everybody on the waitlist receive that email about restating interest in admission or was it a letter sent to only a portion of people?

I got it too...which was weird because I only entered the wait list 5 days before... I also am wondering how soon I will hear back on the may-entry program because I have seat deposits coming up on the 15th...

Were you waitlisted for Fall or May-entry?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
