Sorry to ask a question that I can prob find by digging around, but what's the best way to find an apt- citi habitats?

Well his question was how do you protect yourself when you're putting up an apartment, she thought it necessary to revive the algorithm

it was the algorithm girl all over again? it was a little hard for me to concentrate on what she was saying as she was yelling directly into my ear. I think the ultimate conclusion is that you can't help it favoring one race when there's a statistical significance between race and status... and that's why there are housing option programs and the like.

I don't know what this means, but I've decided it means you're looking for an apartment, and for that I suggest going to nakedapartments.com for starters

I was there yesterday as well. For anyone interested in IP, I had quite a few great convos with students involved in the IP program and a woman from career services who focuses on the IP front (I believe her name is Sherry Anne).

Everyone was very enthusiastic about courses, speakers, networking opportunities made with upper level students and faculty, involvement in the Sports & Entertainment Law Students Association and Intellectual Property Law Society, jobs/internships, and the Media and Entertainment Law Journal.

I met a 3L who had his first IP internship at MTV Networks (where I work right now, though not in the IP department), and he will be working at a botique IP firm after graduation. So it goes to show that doing the IP concentration at Cardozo can actually lead to an IP job, which is good to know.

Just thought I'd throw that out there since a lot of the focus was on PI yesterday (though I am very interested in PI as well). Is anyone else looking into IP? Would love to hear about what you think of the program. I did not get to talk with any IP profs.

Also, I loved the size of the school. That may not be the case for everyone, but 1L sections are 40-50 students (sometimes 90 when they combine two sections); upper level courses can be 11-20 students.

I'd prefer bigger sections, but not bigger classes (so that works out alright for me).

I'm interested in IP and immigration law. May take a few science classes this summer so I have a little background that some firms seem to require. I don't know anything about the program, other than it's not a bad one.

yeah lol. luckily it was someone in the second half of my list, so it was one of the not-actually-weird, just-did-something-weird people.

Also, the IP 3L suggested I sit in on a class, especially if I know my area of interest. He said to call the admin office, tell them who I am and ask for a list of available classes that I can visit. Said there is a prospective student in his classes at least once a week. Also said I should feel free to speak with the prof afterwards.

That's a good idea. Maybe if I'm still unsure I'll hop out and do that later.

all i heard was that students can use their library when cardozo's is closed (sabbath and jewish holidays).

Really? I heard we could use Fordham's...

Ye I heard the same about New School. Someone also told me you can use NYU's library as well. Not sure if this is true about Fordham.

Here it is:

"Upper-level courses vary from year to year, and new offerings are added to the curriculum in response to student interest and global and national events that impact the law. Second- and third-year students may also take one law-related graduate course per semester at The New School, located steps from Cardozo's door, and graduate course offered by other schools within Yeshiva University."

I'm hoping to focus on real estate or land use law and the New School's Milano Graduate School of Urban Policy offers classes in community development finance, housing policy, and more. That's why I'd consider pursuing this option.

I've lived in NYC most of my adult life, and every time I've had to find a place I've used craigslist.
