I heard that it took people on the west coast over a week to receive the letter once it was mailed. So I'll wait till day 11 before I call.

Got an unexpected private minute at work and called...no dice. Wait for the mail and if it doesn't come in a few weeks, call back.

Thanks for trying. W&L should stop wasting paper and just give it to us via email or status checker ugh, the wait is killing me

I just got decision mailed... What do you think this means? I'm a splitter URM, way over 75th in GPA, a few points under 25th in LSAT.

if history tells us anything, it's a good sign to get a decision this early. but there's no guarantee they aren't doing things differently this year

Well they have to send us paper decisions anyway...but it would be nice to know the decision now.

The date on my status just changed to 1/15/2010....yet my status is still Application Complete(I've been complete since 11/30/2009). Has this happened to anybody else? Just a glitch?

Mine changed to Complete 1/15 then half an hour later it said Decision Rendered, Notification Pending or something like that instead of Complete. Also, on the mailing side it should say your letter went out 1/15.

My decision letter was sent today. I went complete mid-December and my GPA is above their 75th and I got a 164 on the LSAT (50th percentile?). I hope the letter comes soon!

Decision mailed; notification pending - 1/15
Really quick turnaround on this one..I submitted in November but they held my application until my December score arrived. I went complete 1/4 as a result. Stats: 149/157/157/160, 3.0/3.54, URM. First law school in the mid-range that I applied to and the first one to go DR in a month or so. I really want to hear some good news.
The last school that looked at me for only two weeks was Georgetown...and that didn't end well.

So is the consensus that this batch is a wait-list batch?

This isn't the Vandy thread - there's no proof in favor of a consensus batch, in fact last cycle strongly suggests that this is a acceptance batch since there were no WL's until March.
In other words, if by consensus you mean a bunch of folks are stressing over the worst case scenario, then yes, there's a "consensus."

My status never changed to decision rendered. Still stuck at the new 1/15/2010 status date.
