Additionally, it seems like those rejections from W&L that came out during this cycle which were reported on LSN all occurred in November. It's sort of strange that they dinged only a couple of people during that month when normally only dings occur in March. The point is that I was waiting on a rejection - but, since I'm in this last batch, I hope that it's all just WL's and acceptances.

Yeah, thanks for the input. Money is a pretty huge factor for me and I already have a couple options I could attend on the (relative) cheap, so I think I'll probably withdraw from any waitlists that I didn't consider major reaches going in. Makes a lot of sense that the full rides off waitlists would have gone to YP applicants. Not something I have to worry about with my UGPA...

I really don't think it's wise to speculate about what it means for people to have their status updated to "Application Completed" on 1/15. That doesn't mean anything at all. It doesn't even mean they're under review. I saw people were doing that earlier and just wanted to comment...

I'm starting to get a little worried. The DR's for 1/15 seem to have high numbers and my numbers...are not high enough to be considered an auto admit by any stretch of the imagination. Either these are all waitlist batches for the high numbers and rejects or somehow I pulled a coup worthy of the the Sing Bar and was slipped in with the acceptance batch on 1/15.

Or who knows, it could be a mixed batch.

This is true. But I inferring from the fact that 1/15 seemed to be all waitlists, that maybe the early batches are only one kind...although I did hear a rejection was mixed in. Oh well, I've got at leas two more days before I know.

Is anybody doing a retake in Feb. to get off the WL? I bet a killer retake could get you off the WL with money.

That's what the June LSAT is for. I would have taken the LSAT again in February, but taking it in February to get off of a waitlist strikes me as dangerous. What if the other schools you applied to hold your file as a result? Heck, that's why I go held at W&L in the first place - my app was there in November but I had to wait until 1/4 for them to move on once they go the December score.

But I agree with the sentiment I just disagree with the avenue of acheiving it.

I submitted all of my apps before I registered for the Feb. LSAT, so none of my apps have been held. Plus June may not give you the most optimal chance of getting of the WL because many spots might be taken up by then.

I was 1/15 DR, going to check my mail right about now but I doubt I'll have anything from W&L yet (I am in South Bend, IN...probably one more day). Stats are 3.66/168, i'll definitely post if I have anything.

Surprisingly, there was something in there, and I'm in! It will take a decent amount of money, but W&L is definitely in the running, so very excited to get this acceptance. Hope this means good news for the others that went DR on 1/15.

Sweetness. I'm in MD, so I expect I'll get my letter today too. Was it a big envelope with other materials too?

Congratulations ndirish2010!!! Was it a big envelope or a small? :)

I'm surprised that it got there already. I wonder if they sent it via regular mail or a quicker delivery...
