I wonder how many of the people they've admitted on 1/20 will actually go to W&L. I'll probably get my letter tomorrow when campus re-opens.

I would guess it would be pretty similar to their overall matriculation rate of about 15%.

And thanks for the Congratulations krispykitten!

How long was everyone complete before a decision was reached? Also, will your status checker say that you are under review?

Current status 1/20: "Decision reached; notification pending." Nothing's filled out on the status checker re: seat deposits, though I'm in.

They sent me my status info 1/4.

Is anyone on the WL considering going to the preview day? I'm curious about how people from previous cycles enjoyed it/found it useful.

Do waitlist notifications come by email or snailmail?

Just sent an e-mail asking to be withdrawn. Decided on attending Notre Dame. Good luck to those on the waitlist and still awaiting decisions. Hope the rest of the cycle goes well for everybody.

Question
Attend an Open House. Our Admitted Student Open Houses are scheduled for March 19-20 and April 2-3. More specific details about our two Open Houses are forthcoming. We provide lodging and subsidize up to $300 in travel expenses for all Open House attendees. Guests are welcome at all Open House events.

Define 'attendees.' Does that include guests? Or is my boyfriend going to have to fly in the overhead and sleep in the library?

Guessing here:
"Attendees:" Admitted applicants
"Guests:" Everyone else

Meh. It's farrrr from here and I need his opinion. All he's had to say so far is "If this were the 1700s, Lexington'd be hopping." ...and, um, I probably wouldn't be going to law school. And would have 6 kids by now.

Looks like we are together in an extremely exclusive batch. After so many acceptances went out on 1/20, and looking at our borderline numbers, I'm also a bit pessimistic about it. Looking at Chiashu, though, there haven't been any rejections in the past in January... I am anticipating a WL... will be rooting for you, though. :)

Got my letter today. I was also part of the 1/20 batch. I'm in. It was a very fast turnaround, I submitted around January 12th. Now to stare at the clouds and wait for scholarship info.

Received my waitlist letter today. Hoping this isn't an indication of how horrible my second personal statement, for schools that had a 500 word limit, was. Will be withdrawing...

I am in the DR 1/20 batch but have not received any mail. Anyone else from New England in this situation?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
