However, on the W&L website says that those offered admission will be notified by email followed by an official letter. Any thoughts?
I know the person above who was accepted did not receive an email.
TITCR. W&L's admissions office seems to be on about 73 different pages this cycle.

I wish the freakin status checker would just say whether I've been admitted or not. Decision reached 11/5, decision mailed 11/9

Same. I will run to my PO Box at noon today 11/11 (post office claims to have all days mail sorted and arranged by that time) to see if anything good came in...and if so, post the news here and start the frenzy! :D I think that 2 days is enough for mail to get to me from Virginia.

Does anyone think that all of those set to receive mail are accepted? Could it be that they send out a "wave" of acceptances, or is it just wishful thinking? Has anybody received a rejection in the mail yet?

Thats precisely what I"m thinking. I don't think they would reject someone so quickly unless their numbers are WAY too low for the school to even consider. And I don't think the majority of those who have "letter of decision mailed" meet that criteria. So I think we are in for a wave of quick acceptances.

Exactly. Everyone on here that I have been talking to seems to have even higher numbers than myself and I am >> 75th GPA and median LSAT.

How many people had decision rendered/mailed on 11/10?

My numbers are on the low side of things, but my softs could get me into Yale, especially with a future bump in my LSAT score.

I'd be really surprised for a reject though, this early on. I'm giving myself a conservative 51% chance it's an acceptance.

Complete: 9/11. Decision reached; notification pending as of 11/5. Letter of decision mailed on 11/10. I'm 165; 3.21 with 4.0 for most recent 72 hours, non-trad. My numbers aren't really strong for W&L, so I'm eager to get the mail tomorrow.

Similar stats: 163/3.65 4.0 six straight semesters after 8 surgeries, non-trad (blindness), but still just complete, been complete since 9/24 WTF??!?!?!?! I'm starting to get really anxious now because I have no acceptances yet...

There are two scenarios that I can determine. Based on information from LSN, W&L hasen't sent rejections before March.

Scenario 1: Things have remained the same this year, and all of the decisions mailed thus far are acceptances.

Scenario 2: Things have changed, and the ones mailed 11/9 are acceptances and the ones mailed 11/10 are rejections.

Let's hope for scenario 1.
