Complete. Got an email saying that my app was now complete and ready for review on 1/18.

Well, I'll never know what Vanderbilt would have decided. Complete 11/10 and accepted ED at UVA today. I'll withdraw immediately so the rest of ya'll can have more attention paid to your application...and so, you know, I don't get my ED acceptance repealed.

Not really, VULS is in full swing dinging people. So if you were officially out - you'd know it. I'm curious whether Vandy is holding files or if they always make an immediate decision. But rest assured, if they decided to decline you they wouldn't hesitate to notify you.

So I'm assuming that all people with DM on 1/22 are dings? I say this because all DM on 1/21 are acceptances and all DM 1/19 are WL.

Virtual VULS just says decision was mailed last Friday. Do you think they would tell me over the phone if I was in/out?

i don't think they would. they have been strict about not giving decisions over the phone.

I hope not!

I think after 7 or 10 days they'll e-mail you a PDF of the decision letter, but they never give out phone decisions. You'll just have to wait it out.

DM 1/19, waitlisted 1/23. Called the people today and this is what I found out:

The waitlist will probably be several hundred people in size, but they can't give any idea of how many people will be accepted off it as it changes every year. Be sure to write a LOCI and updates etc. etc. They claim to have no specific ranking system, but they did say that they often use the waitlist to even out diversity stats and the gender ratios.

One thing they stressed, contradictory to what the letter says, they don't plan on anything really happening on the waitlist until May. So don't get your hopes up.

It's all pretty basic stuff, but I hope it helps a little bit.

Because im not officially out!!! My interviewer just congratulated me via email too ( he was waitlisted and accepted as well)

My father was also waitlisted at Vandy; he had even moved to Knox to go to UT, but during orientation Vandy let him in. Moved right back to Nashville!

hey guys vandy is my super reach school so don't laugh... my lsat didn't go up in dec quite like I wanted so I had to apply with 162/3.4 and went ahead and sent it anyway for good measure since I went all the way to nashville to interview.

I wrote several extra letters and even made a nerdy graph of upward gpa trend... how closely do they look at those and how much weight does the interview carry? Thanks for the help and good luck to all!
