I wouldn't start to panic if you havent been contacted yet. If you just browse the recent comments of late, tons of people have withdrawn their acceptances, so atleast some of you should be in good shape! Waiting is half the battle!

decided to WD, 81k scholarship.....was thisclose to going but ultimately being close to family won out. also, my last couple communications re scholarship money were pretty unsatisfying.

I was told they won't even begin reviewing the waitlist until the end of May.

youve got to figure they need to receive and process all the deposit forms. sine they only do snail mail and it only has to be postmarked by 4/15, it might be mid-may before they know who accepted their offers.

I spoke with the assistant director of admissions on Friday and she confirmed that no one will be admitted from the WL until June.

To some extent this makes sense as a number of people will send in the initial deposit, but then get off of waitlists at other schools and withdraw in favor of the higher ranked schools. The highest ranked schools (e.g. HYS) need to get their classes set and figure things out before schools further down the list can actually have an idea at what they are working with.

I think you misunderstood. Unless you're just congratulating me on a crazy cycle, in which case... thanks? I'm on the WL, still--I just meant that I'd check back in June when they're re-evaluating WL candidates. It's all up there^ It makes sense if you scroll up.

App Complete 2/9. Called the admissions office today because I've already pretty much committed somewhere else and don't care about bugging them, but I paid that app fee and thus they owe me a decision. They said that it typically takes 10 weeks to make a decision and that decisions are made in batches every 2 - 3 days. She said that everyone without a decision made date should here by atleast mid-May. I asked if there should be cause for any cause for concern that I haven't heard yet even though I knew what her response would be. She said no that this length of time is a little long but still fairly typical. Hope this helps.

So I sent the deposit on Tuesday last week, and I haven't recieved a confirmation. I called on the 15th, and they didn't have it yet. Should I call/email, or just chill out? I bet they're inundated with paperwork, and I don't want to bother them if it's not a big deal.

If it gets to 2 weeks I'd say something, but I think you're fine right now.

Hey rad, I sent my check on the 14th and just got my confirm today. I'd give it till friday and then call.
