It was too convincing, actually - they didn't think they needed to give you anything to attend.

Eh, I don't know about that either. Obviously they're taking things prima facie. If you tell them you want to attend, they'll forego the bribes; if you tell them you wouldn't attend, they'll just reject you. I think you need something in between the extremes:

"I would only attend if offered full-ride and change."

What form of mail did the accepts go out as? If I didn't receive anything today is that a bad sign?

Checking in here with $72k! Woot!

Now we have a ball game. I'm visiting Vandy in April and Michigan in two weeks. Honestly, that's a lot of money to turn down, especially for someone who wants to be in the south post-graduation.

If you mean email or regular mail, mine was by regular mail. It could be chilling in some post office still, and they just gave out a LOT of money. I bet they'll give some more when peeps withdraw?

Has anyone who applied fairly late (I applied right at the beginning of Feb.) heard anything yet? I'm kind of expecting a waitlist, and I'm just curious.

I sent mine Feb 1st and got an acceptance on the 17th. I don't know if Vandy is rolling or not, but I don't think you're too late to the game.

They (or at least mine) came regular mail. I spoke with the Admissions Office this morning, and they said they mailed a big batch of scholarship letters late last week. So if they mailed them on Friday, it could take a few more days to arrive. Keep your hopes up!

81k. Doesn't match my Duke/UVA offers so will be withdrawing soon. Hopefully my money goes to one of you guys :D

does anyone know if vandy will offer full tuition scholarships to other people if the people they originally offer them to turn them down?....in the case of the named scholarships listed on the top of the law merit scholars app, do they have a person who gets it every year? or do they only offer it to one person and if that person turns it down, they just don't have one in that class?

I'm fairly certain they have one every year. A guy from my UG is at Vandy now with the full-ride + stipend (Wade Scholarship) and he had a certain earlier date to accept it by because they wanted to look elsewhere otherwise.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
