Congrats...

That Monday admitted students thing is depressing for me, as Davis is easily tied for 1st choice for me. I would hate to miss that mixer in LA, but need an acceptance first!

What will the reception consist of on Monday in LA? I'm debating about going, but I don't know how beneficial it will be.

You probably just get to meet the dean, admissions people, and alumni to ask questions and get a feel for the community etc. Should be fun. It's at some law firm downtown.

wtf, WL at Hastings?

This cycle is from the twilight zone. I've seen so many weirdo number situations like this in so many threads.

True story. I sort of assumed it was yield protection (also YP for my Notre Dame WL). But I am from Northern California, so I did have a reason for wanting to go. Who knows, maybe they just didn't like me.

The long wait from Davis has left me worried though.

ND is a harder one to call YP on. They would love your 169, but they also like the GPAs.

Did I see that you got dinged at W&L the other day?

No, I meant to post that to UVA and just mis-clicked. I am in at W&L with scholly, and have withdrawn. I did write a why ND, but I had a 168 when I applied, so honestly who knows.

I don't think Davis will YP a 169/3.5. They let me in with similar numbers. Davis just likes to take a long, long time to get back to anyone. I think you're solid.

I hope so. I wonder if there is any scholarship money to pass around this year.

I sure hope there's money. I like NorCal, but I can't really justify passing on money to T20-T30 schools to pay sticker at Davis just because I like CA.

So I guess it is safe to say that Thursdays are the decision days and they take the rest of the week off.
