I give you all three guesses (and the first two don't count) as to my current status.

Nothing.

We did successfully hit 100 pages, though. That could be a good thing or a bad thing ...

Has anyone talked to the admissions office? How much longer are we going to have to wait?

I went complete back in late december/early january, and have been "Evaluation in Progress" ever since.

What about last year? Did people have to wait this long as well?

To be honest, with my numbers, I'm just glad they didn't outright deny me, haha.

Someone in the last couple pages was told by admissions that decisions would be coming this week. I don't know how many more they have around to work through.

Last year, I don't think people had to wait this long for a decision. But, this year Davis saw a 20% increase in applications, so last year's timetables are out the window.

I was going to say that this is getting ridiculous...but it was ridiculous back when they'd already had our applications for half a year. Now, seeing as it is f*^&ing MAY...

I called Hastings back in March after they had my application for over 6 months (no, patience is not my strong suit... ) and they had a nice and rude response of "All decisions will be made by May 1". Everyone thought that was a ridiculous timeline at the time. Now, it's past May 1, and Davis is still doing their thing, whatever that may be.

Honestly. At this point, it's the principle of the thing.

You know what, I don't care if they had a 20% increase. What would have been decent and professional was for them to at least send out an update email to everyone still waiting. We paid the application fee after all.

Especially since the longer it takes, the closer it is going to get to the second deposit deadline for most schools. I already put a first deposit down at two schools (refundable) and the last thing I want is to put down my second deposit and then get a letter saying I was accepted.

As for the increase in applications, EVERY school this year saw an increase in applications by like 15-25%. This is the only school that has made me wait until May.

The thing that baffles me is that people who reported numbers almost exactly like mine and even lower, who applied days to weeks to a month later, have heard before me.... WHY?!

was gonna say, i feel like i'm back in daycare, and all the other kids have been picked up, the daycare has shut down, the adults all left, and i'm alone sitting on the porch steps waiting to be picked up, watching the dark thunderstorm clouds in the distance slowly roll in towards me

Since I'm 99% sure I'm going to be attending a different school, I'm going to send them an email asking what's up since I don't care if I piss them off, just to see what kind of bitchy response I can get back...I'll be sure to post it here for everyone's enjoyment/frustration.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
