My status checker was not working, and then I received an email saying I had been admitted. Now, through the WUSTL website(rather than the email), my status checker is working but shows no updates and I can't access the admitted students website.
They send an email with the password and login.

I know that they have a huge group of students coming from NY and CA. Maybe they cater more towards those regions and DC?

+1 In talking with some current students it sounds like a lot of students look for big jobs outside of the midwest. But it may also be that the big chicago market is tougher because of UofC, NW, UIUC...

How are UofC, NW and UIUC any more competition than Columbia, NYU and Fordham? Plus a ton of t14 people flock to ny, which seems like less the case for chicago

Don't worry about it. Long waits are usually a good thing rather than a bad, especially if you're URM (you're considered URM, aren't you?) since it isn't as likely to mean a WL or a ding. Maybe they're figuring out aid. Or maybe.. something else like that.

Those schools are actually in the city in question. That's how.
