Re: For WUSTL Applicants
If I'm not mistaken, there are some people with similar numbers to mine (3.0/176) on LSN who cleaned up in years past. I am a bit disappointed.

Could have to do with when you applied or the amount of money they had this cycle... plus how likely they think you are to attend. But 'some' isn't really enough to assume it would hold for 'all' this year.DoctorNick189 wrote:If I'm not mistaken, there are some people with similar numbers to mine (3.0/176) on LSN who cleaned up in years past. Nah, you don't have to apologize to me. I wasn't planning on going even with a full-ride (already have a $54k scholarship at a T10). Honestly forgot I even applied.initech wrote:I know, I read that right after posting. I apologize for whining Helm, you deserve it over me without a doubt. Still though, doubling our offers hurts.

I'm 173/3.59 WashU Undergrad with a 3.85 DEGREE GPA from WUSTL. They offered me $18,000 (total, over three years). ?Helmholtz wrote:Uh, I'm 173/3.45+ and my offer got pwnd by virtually everybody.initech wrote:Congratulations to everyone that has received $ today. I hate to come off as bitter, but I am, now that I see so many people with the same/lower #s receiving double my offer.

WashU's rich-person version of YP, I think.

Is there hope for money for people accepted in the coming month (Hopefully there will be more acceptances)?

Hooray! WUSTL has put itself back in the running. Just got my SIL offer $19K/year. I'm absolutely floored because my numbers truly suck. Hopefully I can use this to negotiate with my other options.

Seems like maybe gpa played a stronger role this year compared to last year.

doubtful, some people below 3.4 are already reporting pretty good scholarship offers.gmichaelbluth wrote:Seems like maybe gpa played a stronger role this year compared to last year.

3.5+ and 169, got offered $12k total ($4k a year). Feel very underwhelmed right now.

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
It stings since I composed a targeted essay describing how much I loved WashU as an undergrad. I tried pretty hard to convince them I would stay and consider their law school very strongly. Maybe their crystal ball saw bigger things in my future.ryguy wrote:Aw man that hurts!!!!poprox wrote:I'm 173/3.59 WashU Undergrad with a 3.85 DEGREE GPA from WUSTL. For all you guys who definitely are no longer considering attending Wash U, don't hesitate to withdraw those apps so the rest of us can start negotiating the money that goes back into the pool!

Those getting scholly info, etc. ... I assume your decisions came a while ago and you were just waiting on the money, right?
Are 2/3ers and 2/4ers still waiting on decisions?

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
It seems like it did for the big bucks. For everyone with awards already listed on LSN, everyone with $75K+ had a 3.6 or higher (except one URM). Yet several with 170+ LSATs received much smaller awards.poprox wrote:doubtful, some people below 3.4 are already reporting pretty good scholarship offers.gmichaelbluth wrote:Seems like maybe gpa played a stronger role this year compared to last year.

Just realized that my status checker still says 12/21 complete. Is a wait this long typical?

Baseless hypothesis:
Could work experience have come into play in scholarship decisions?
Okay, small base (sample size: Me): I've been in the working world since 2006, and think my $30k total offer is a reasonable first offer given my numbers (though it will probably take a little negotiating before I would choose WUSTL, as much as I love the school).

Perhaps. I've been working for a few years too. I definitely think GPA mattered for the big $ though.Neil wrote:Baseless hypothesis:

Re: For WUSTL Applicants
I'm going to agree with WE but prob not GPA. I got 30k over 3 years, which seems reasonable ... but judging by the other awards in this thread it seems like more than I deserved.gmichaelbluth wrote:Perhaps.
