No one listen to Jenny. My supplements are way better. You should all buy mine.

Now now. There are plenty of 1Ls to go around.

Hey yall,
I dont mean to interrupt the fun chat yall have going, but I'm a rising 2L and am looking for one more roommate. I have a house on the westside, a 3/2, with one more rising 2L. Rent is $400 per month. Its a quiet neighborhood, great peaceful backyard with a seasonal creek (really fun to sit on the porch and study, or have a beer after class). If youre interested, PM me, or e-mail me.

Bert

^ B's house is awesome. The back porch alone is worth it.

I can't help you with your needing another roomie issue because I already signed a lease, etc ... but I feel like I definitely want to drink beers on your back porch and eat your roommates cooking if that's cool?!

For those who might be interested, we can get into MyGeorgiaLaw now. When you go in, you can see the student directory, the interview schedule for Fall OCI, and ancient employer evaluations.

No?
Are you already trying to read about RAP? Because that's a bad idea. lol First, it sucks and will just confuse you. Second, some profs (like mine) didn't require use to memorize anything about it for an exam. Wasted brain space.

JesusSmarmia wrote:I don't agree. I read the primer and RAP wasn't easy, but I was able to teach it to myself. So often you hear people warning about trying to learn things before law school starts. It's bullcrap. This stuff is NOT intellectually difficult. There's simply a lot to know and you're asked to do analysis in a very short amount of time...that's where the difficulty lies. Nothing I've encountered so far can even remotely be called 'difficult'...including RAP. Now whether or not you need to learn it for your class is another thing altogether. But, worst case scenario, you've learned something you didn't have to learn...God forbid!

You're a 0L. What you say doesn't matter when discussing something like this.

If you think RAP is easy, you really didn't learn it.

Obviously, if someone wants to read and try to learn something before starting, have at it. Who cares. But personally, I think your time is better spent relaxing before the crap hits the fan and your brain is in spaz mode. UGA 1Ls take 6 classes their first semester. Don't put anything in there you don't have to.

JesusSmarmia wrote:Jenny, I certainly didn't learn it, if by learn it you mean memorize it. I've read supplements and then some on basically everything in the first-year curriculum so that very little will be new to me when I encounter it in class. I had RAP (and all the other stuff in the primer on Future Interests) memorized just long enough to work through all the exercises. After I felt I had mastered what the primer covered I put it down and haven't touched it since. I've forgotten it all...but when I have to learn it again it's going to be very quick work...and all because I spent the time to learn it the first time over the summer.
We're all individually the best judge of what we're capable of...but if you can't handle reading a few supplements over the summer without getting 'burnt out' then you're probably not going to cut it in law school anyway.

Wow. Outed as a douchetruck and a gunner.

Like I said, I hope you do as well as you think you will. But watch the attitude. It won't earn you any friends. And really, you want to have friends in law school. It's going to be a long, sad 3 years if you don't.

Maybe I will get a shitlaw job. Maybe you won't get any job; attitudes like yours cause 4.0s to get no-offered.
