Re: Univ of Georgia
Waitlisted after being held. As I have other offers that I would take over UGA anyways, I will not be responding to be added. Good luck to all those waitlisted and/or waiting to hear back, and congrats to those accepted!

I'll take comfort in numbers... WL'd after being held for further review, too. I'm disappointed but at least it's not a rejection.

Waitlisted as well. How many people do they typically take off the WL?

Re: Univ of Georgia
Waitlisted after being held too. OOS 161/3.66. As everyone else has been saying, at least it's not a rejection yet. I figured without a 164 there was zero possibility. At least there's still hope.

Waitlisted today via email, after being "held for further review" since November.

Re: Univ of Georgia
Well, it's completely unscientific and probably means next to nothing ... but last year LSN shows them as having WLd about 45 applicants, and only 2 reported being accepted post-WL. This is always tough to tell, because it depends year to year on what their yield is like.FunkyJD wrote:+1flchick1 wrote:I am curious as to this also.harry0569 wrote:Waitlisted as well. Before I looked on LSN though I would have suggested it might be pretty high when you consider UGA is a good regional school, but located in an area with other good regional schools too. Tons of people who apply to UGA also apply to schools like UNC, Wake, Emory, Bama, UF, probably even USC (Carolina) and the Virginia schools. So when things all shake out chances could be good that they lose a relatively high portion of admitted students to competing (similarly ranked) institutions in their region.

Re: Univ of Georgia
Dang, me too.
So much for "A relatively small number of top candidates for admission to the 2010 entering class are receiving this invitation."
And I thought they thought I was special.
I'm almost certainly withdrawing. Good luck all.

+1 It looks like the key word here is "relatively". Maybe it's relative to W&L's waitlist clan!

Waitlist via e-mail here too.
165 / 3.23 , downward GPA trend.
Oh well, this is the first "decision" I've received, and it is from the highest rated and most selective school of the six I applied to. UGA had already slipped to 4th on my list, so I'm actually alright with this.

WL'd by email as well. 164/sub 3.0. Got the unsolicited fee waiver, applied, and got my hopes up:(

Has anybody who applied at the 11th hour (i.e. 3/1) heard anything? I sent one in at midnight of 2/28 & 3/1 haven't even gotten a confirmation that they received my app.

Re: Univ of Georgia
Right now I have no response (I'm not even complete), but looks like sub-3.0's are getting WL'd; even with LSAT's above median .

Georgia doesn't always send a confirmation. If you haven't already, register at their website. That will give you the status checker.atfarmer wrote:Has anybody who applied at the 11th hour (i.e. 3/1) heard anything? I said it about 3 months ago, and it came true. I am one of the first people with a 165 to not get admitted. Waitlisted, not even going to get on the waitlist. The SEC sucks anyways.
