Haha, just check out the UGA graph for this cycle on LSN. It makes the "wall" even MORE obvious.

Also, I agree that this is kinda like a WL...just more of an "unofficial" waitlist.

Hahaha. Ask and ye shall receive. Held for further review today.

So I applied with a 163 and got "held for further review". Retook and got the needed 164. When are they going to reopen my file? It's been a month since scores were released!

Look at their cycle for 08-09 and the wall is in the exact same place. Makes me wonder if they even look at applications.

162=OUT
163=WL
164=IN

I wonder what it would take to get us 163's off the held/WL thing...wonder if they have a GPA wall too?

How splitter friendly is UGA? I'm decently above that LSAT wall but have just barely over a 3.0. Looking for more anecdotal evidence because I check LSN obsessively already.

FYI UGA doesn't give travel stipends for ASW, but they are trying to setup something where you can stay with a law student while you are visiting

Oh yeah that's right, I knew that. All this waiting and stressing makes me get schools confused. Good luck everybody.

It seems like anyone under 164 gets evaluated on GPA. According to LSN, they have let in some pretty big splitters this cycle. If they are going to keep their 75th GPA up around 3.8, they need to start admitting more people >3.7. I assume the people held for review have a high GPA/lower-than-164 LSAT, and from the stats it looks like the GPA for those people would need to be above 3.7. There are anomalies in the 2008-2009 data, so I think they evaluate softs from that group, too.

"held for further review" as of a few days ago, 2.63/165 :(

I missed the email that gave the instructions on how to sign up for the status checker. I submitted around 1/6 but didn't sign up my account for the status checker until a few days ago and my status was already at 'held....' I hope they didn't notice I hadn't signed up yet and 'held' me assuming my interest in UGA is low!

Welcome to Purgatory. I've been sitting on "Held" since November with a 2.65/167.

They held you because of the 2.63.

3.03/164 and being held for further review.

Hoping for something soon. The more I read about and research UGA, the more interesting it sounds.

Any scholarship information yet? I thought I remembered them writing something about mid-January (this was in November).

They've been saying recently scholarship decision will be sent out by February 15. I'm not sure if this applies to everyone or just recent admits.

I've been held for further review, too. What exactly does it mean? Should I send a LOCI?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
