Do you know what the waitlist situation is for the Aston? I'd rather not have to deal with finding housing, but I'm not quite ready to send in my seat deposit yet. I've still got one slightly realistic application in play, but odds are GW will be my choice.
P.S. Anyone going to the San Francisco event on Tuesday?

I'm really hoping that all of us who were deferred from ED aren't getting waitlisted after all this time...hopeful that somebody here in the same boat will receive good news soon...

Ding via mail. I'm oddly ok with not having to take on 210k in debt.

My second ding of the day. I have a doctor's appointment later. I have to keep telling myself that this day CAN get worse.

So sorry to hear about the bad news, all. For those still waiting, there's good news- got my admit pack (did not expect it yet, as I applied in Jan) with a nice merit scholarship! Very pleased.

Long time lurker here, I'll be at the SF event, it would be cool to know if any1 else is going to be there from TLS.

Decided to withdraw today (despite the really nice handwritten note). The money was super tempting, but I got into one of my dream schools last week.
Good luck, everyone!

dinged over the weekend. Judging from other people who got in, it looks like I was right below the numbers needed, especially GPA-wise. Like one poster said, at least I know I won't be $200,000.00 in debt.
Good luck to everyone out there.

I was accepted today without any mention of scholarship info. I like GW but it would need to be subsidized to some extent, bummer. I'm finishing up my FAFSA so hopefully that bears some assistance.

In today with a very generous scholarship offer, and free housing for the first year, to "make my transition to DC easier" (find this funny because I have lived in the DC area for 6 years, but wouldn't say no to free housing!)
I have gotten into higher ranked schools, but with GW's scholarship offer, I could probably cover most of the remaining tuition and living expenses with my savings and not graduate with a lot of debt. And the chance to stay in DC is not insignificant for me.
Am I crazy to consider this? I know some of the rank whores on TLS will probably say yes, but it's a really tempting offer.

GW over NYU? Are you serious!?!?!?
I'd pay sticker for NYU. Please don't be foolish and not take NYU.
edit: didn't see Columbia. Jesus must be nice to be you. Columbia > NYU IMHO.

Unless money is that huge of an issue for you. I would take Columbia and NYU over GWU in a heartbeat if I were you. Better schools, better options, slightly smaller class size for Columbia. #4 > #28 Just my opinion though.
Best of luck! I wish I had your dilemma...

I am afraid letters dated in the second week of Feb will all be rejections or waitlist...
