I contacted the admissions office (submitted 11/13, complete 11/24), & they said that I'll be hearing their decision within the next week.

Awesome! And neutral face is close enough on the Butters thing! Think about it for awhile. Maybe just answer one or two questions on the first day of class in the Butters voice and that would be it, but sooo worth it.
PS: You have been a trooper in this thread. How do you feel about the $$ at Penn State. I got the same offer but will probably withdraw soon. IUB is looking pretty good barring an act of God at UVA or Duke (maybe Vandy) or one of the schools I'm already in at stepping up the scholarship money. *ahem, ND*
I like PSU, but I don't see myself choosing it over some other options I currently have and ones I hope to have. Once I get a really solid instate option, I start withdrawing.
IU is a great offer.....that I hope to leverage with other schools. I've tried really hard picturing myself there and some days I'm all about it - but if I'm being honest with myself, it's not on the top of my preferred schools.
If ND ever comes through, I would consider it for sure, hopefully with some money. But the fact that it's taking so long makes me think that if I do get in, that will be it. These CA schools are taking their sweet time and I just need one offer that makes me comfortable to start withdrawing from other schools. This will either be money at a lower school in CA or acceptance to one of UCLA/USC/Berkeley...so we'll see.
edit: how is the scholarship negotiation going with ND?

Well, we feel pretty much the same about everything. I wanted to see what PSU would do with the scholarship offer, and - though generous - Pitt and Temple are both cheaper (and better) in-state options for me.
I can see myself ending up at IU if I visit and love it, but my fiancee isn't all about it. I've always liked the dark horse in a race, and IU is definitely a dark horse. ...That said, I'll definitely try to use the full ride to get some more money elsewhere just to see what my options are.
ND is killing me. 2 raw points more and I'd have another $30k in scholarship money and this wouldn't be a difficult decision. I haven't tried to negotiate the scholarship yet, but I intend to soon. And then there's BU with money... but that's a whole 'nother thing.

i'm rooting for you man. yesterday's batch seemed like it was a lot of 11/13 complete dates, and i'm complete 11/13 and freaking out since i didn't hear (and I was pretty confident in my application too). and i remember you were complete way before that. you have great numbers so i wouldn't be too worried. on LSN it looks like there are lots of people who are accepted after those with similar complete dates are accepted. best of luck to you. hope you hear good news soon

I got a small envelope at my house today according to my mom. Rejection most likely since it seems they send acceptances in big envelopes. Oh well, didn't really wanna go to Indiana anyway...

Hope it's better news than you're expecting, Jolie.
But seriously, now. What the heck is taking them so long, if they already have most of their answers for ED?
I'm only anxious because ND is pretty high on my list (higher than it's USN rank, definitely) and I just want to know where I stand with them!

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
I sent them an email and they told me it would be ten weeks from my complete date of 1/7...considering some 1/7 or 1/8 people have heard already, I don't think this can be a good sign...

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
My sister knows someone in the admissions office and told me to email the person about my application. I was also told its takes 10 weeks for committee review. I don't expect to get in, ND is one of my biggest reaches, but I think that's the response they give to everyone.

Had that feeling too...I think I should get in, and it's one of my top choices (I'm here now for undergrad) so I would hope it is not a bad sign. I'll just wait patiently for the next 10 weeks I guess...

Waitlisted today. ND was extremely appealing to me for a lot of reasons. I guess I need to start working on a LOCI.

I got the complete email a bit over a week after sending everything.
I submitted mine on 1/13, received a "complete" e-mail a week later. I wouldn't be concerned about it yet.

Thanks, but it was a rejection. Not completely surprised. Good luck to everyone else.

Waitlisted
Hoping for the best here...ND is a heck of a school, and would be a great place to end up.

Source? LSN claims that they have a 24% acceptance rate.
