Called to see what was going on bc I've been complete for 8 weeks and haven't heard anything and the lady said they are 2 weeks behind bc of the holiday. She said I should expect a decision in 2-3 weeks. 11/10 complete date, FWIW.

Does ND have a status checker? Or do they just notify you of movement via email? Thanks!

Mine only took a month before getting a decision, but I applied very early.ndirish2010 wrote:Just got the complete email today, saying that it will take six to eight weeks for a decision now that they have received my December LSAT score. What would ND have to give you to poach you away from there? Full?

If I get into Michigan or Chicago though, I'll withdraw from all non-T14 schools I applied to.

Good for you, dude. I'm surprised you consider UMich to be at a different level from UVA (though I guess I have a thing for UVA). I think UChi will come through for you though, so be sure to get all of your drinking/partying/time spent with good-looking people in now, while you have the chance.hopefulundergrad wrote:Full + COL stipend.flcath wrote:Didn't you get into UVA?hopefulundergrad wrote:Called to see what was going on bc I've been complete for 8 weeks and haven't heard anything and the lady said they are 2 weeks behind bc of the holiday. Would you agree that a half scholly at ND is preferable to sticker at Vandy/Cornell for those of us not specifically desirous of an NYC career? I don't know if Vandy will be sticker yet, but that's my suspicion.
Edit: Let me expound and say that I would finish ND with less than $50K in debt, guaranteed, whereas I have no such tricks for Ithaca/Nashville.

I'm a recent Michigan UG grad and I'm gunning for the Chicago market so it has a special place for me. I think UVA is a fantastic institution though, especially with the ability to take a few classes at Darden.flcath wrote:Good for you, dude. I consider Vandy and Cornell pretty regional schools and if you're gunning for the Chicago market, ND is an excellent option. However, my one reservation would be that Chicago biglaw firms pretty much shunned all non-T14s this past OCI. The standard bearers from the T25 they usually look at, WashU, Illinois, and ND, were all left in the cold from what I have heard. That would give me pause if I was debating b/t ND and Cornell. On the other had though, Cornell's TUITION is $48k and though COL is probably no more than $15k, that's a TON of money. I'd take half @ ND over sticker at Vandy though.

Does anyone have experience with the ND waitlist? I'm visiting in Feb. and submitted a LOCI.

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
Yeah, well, if '11 OCIs end up anything like '09, I really need to focus on debt reduction (Biglaw was always a 3-to-4-year-and-out loan repayment venture for me, anyway) over prestige, given the options I have available. I've even been considering my full ride at 'Bama.hopefulundergrad wrote:I'm a recent Michigan UG grad and I'm gunning for the Chicago market so it has a special place for me. I know ND was starting to place real well in Chicago pre-ITE (they matched the T14s in the market--except UChi--at Kirkland summer '08), but I hadn't heard anything since, except that most of their '09 class was jobless at graduation. My brother finally landed in bona fide Midlaw ($85K; good promotion prospects) like 6mo. after graduation, and he's adamant about me not doing Cornell at sticker, but I'm actually kinda envious of what he ended up going... he got out with <$130K in debt, though.
Shit's going down this month for the Notre Dame EDers, btw, and I've been really 2nd-guessing myself.
Everyone says that they historically don't take many (like, barely double digits) from the WL, but if that trend holds true for this year then it'll be mostly YP admits, judging from what I've read ITT.robin600 wrote:Does anyone have experience with the ND waitlist? Huh? flcath was referring to the January 29th deadline for accepted EDers to accept the offer of admission and withdraw everywhere else.

Hey, just wondering what people have been hearing from ND this week. I'd love to have a sense of how close they are to reviewing my app (got the complete email on 12/7).
Any late November/early December RD applications been decided upon yet?

I would imagine activity from Notre Dame will pick up a lot once all of us ED applicants have to have decided on the 29th.
