All I had to do was to email in my tax returns to the University financial aid office, and they confirmed my award shortly thereafter. As far as I know there is no other process, unless you are taking out GRAD Plus loans. That application is up starting July 1 and can be accessed through the ND Financial Aid website. Hope this helps.

Do you guys think that ND has already formulated their incoming class's numbers (25th and 75th percentile for GPA and LSAT)? Do you guys think think that the numbers of people on the WL will affect the numbers ND reports to US News if those students are accepted? For example, if John Doe has a 1.0 GPA and a 120 LSAT and gets accepted off the WL, will his numbers affect the median they have already established with the students they have admitted?

of course it'll affect the medians. medians are decided on everyone who decides to attend. although the effect might be very very minimal depending on how many people near the 25th and 75th have near similar stats.

example: 160/163/165 -> if you add a 155 the 25% will be down to 157.5 (from 160) and 75% will go down to 164 (from 165)

example: 160/160/163/163/165/165 -> if you add a 155 the median will remain the same (163). and the 25% and 75% stays the same as well.

waitlists are usually used to pad the numbers at the last minute, or to make sure it remains constant. hence splitters and reverse splitters are usually waiting until the end.

I'm sure a lot of you guys are already on the NDLS Class of 2013 facebook group but I'll post the notice here as well:

I'm enrolled for next year and we're looking for a fourth person to fill out a fully furnished 4 bedroom house. It's within walking distance (15 minutes) and rent is only $350 a month. I've spoken with the current tenants and they speak very highly of the house/neighborhood. There are lots of sweet amenities included like a big porch, grill, and when I say fully furnished I mean down to flatware and utensils.

If you're at all interested email me at jrb.pcv@gmail.com and I'll tell you all about it.

How does the no class ranking work and how do firms at OCI distinguish between students or how are honors given?

You still have a GPA, so they can still distinguish.

Does the school provide the GPA for the median and top 25%, etc?

I was under the impression that firms know where your GPA places you in your class based on previous years. Grades are basically consistent from year to year.

A mean (not median) GPA is published, and they are also obviously aware of the number of kids each year who graduate above the 3.9, 3.7, and 3.5 marks, due to latin honors. With these marks and a few statistical assumptions, you can build a pretty reliable distribution for the top half of the class.

LR is also a slightly-imperfect indicator of top 15%.

I seem to recall reading there is a 2nd deposit June 10 or 15, I don't remember which.

A reliable source in ND admissions has passed on the following two pieces of information:

1. The next seat deposit date is June 10th (look for waitlist movement after then)

2. All offers have been extended and as of 5/12 they have a full class. Of course that status could change at any time but nonetheless, it is where they are at currently.

We've come too far and waited too long to give up now. Although things seem hopeless (I believe my case to be as hopeless as they come), we have to keep being patient and hold on. I have a feeling that we will all be rewarded for our patience, hopefully...

Confirmed this with admissions. They will be sending a WL update email in the next week or so, before the 2nd deposit date. WL is currently "300-500 people". Either way, expect movement after June 10th.

What is a normal wait list size? I know GW is over 450 but their incoming class is also huge.
I would have thought the WL for ND would be much smaller. There is no way they go through each application again when a spot opens up if it's that large.
