I really enjoyed my time at the school, and although south bend is nt my ideal town/ city (no offense to anybody who is in love with it), I am growing to embrace the school itself as my own. The ppl were great, the incoming 1ls are down to earth and ppl I can see myself hanging out with and becoming friends with, and even the current students are cool ppl. A fellow 0L and I hung out w some 3Ls at a local hangout and they were very welcoming. Obviously, I am not basing my decision on the ppl alone, but it does make the total package that much better. I am personally very excited for the next 3 years and will Withdraw from about 8 schools come Monday. If you have any questions, please ask. Also, I am experiencing first hand all the rumors about the "rabid" alumni network, as I have two family members telling me they met nd alumni in the past week who now want to have lunch with me after learning I am attending nd law. Both encountered the alumni this week, but just thot I'd share to show there is some truth behind what is said about the nd loyalty. I typed this frm my iPhone, so sorry about any typos.
I actually had a surprisingly good time in my time after the asd. I sort of expected the downtime outside of the events to be a major detractor from my overall experience, but I ended up doing some fun stuff. I went out to this place in mishawaka called granite city. It has its own microbrews that they were selling for $5/pitcher (no, thats not a typo). Seriously delicious to boot. Also they had these delicious flatbread pizzas for $5/ea. Cost of living there seems amazing!
