Is anybody going to ASD next weekend? Are there any activities planned for Saturday? I'm visiting the campus, but I won't be in until Friday night, so it looks like I'll miss most everything.

I'm going next weekend! I haven't heard anything about Saturday events but you'll probably still be able to talk to current students and get a feel for the campus if you come on Sat.

The ASD seems pretty typical for law schools--chat with students, faculty, learn about financial aid, sit in on a class, tour the campus. I don't know how far away you are from ND, but you could do all of those things by visiting on another weekend and letting the admissions office know in advance.

If any NDLS 1Ls, 2Ls, or 3Ls are willing to answer some questions from an 0L, holla.

Waitlisted today. Complete Feb 2nd. More than I expected since I didn't write the Why ND essay. Might ride this list out.

Were you waitlisted by email or package? I went complete 1/19 and I still haven't heard.

Question for those of you facing this same issue: Considering the location and the current economy, would it be too much to expect that my spouse can find work there? (City planning) If I get in, that would be my biggest concern.

I live in South Bend, and I would be pretty stunned if your spouse could find a government/city planning job. The governments of SB and Mishawaka are basically on a hiring freeze. Finding some kind of job would be highly likely though.

I'm about 90% sure I'll be staying at Notre Dame next year...just taking a few extra days to make sure before walking the seat deposit over to admissions.

I'm coming in this weekend to visit. Has anybody gone on the campus tour? Is there much value to having a guided tour rather than just reading the map and wondering around?

I just called the admissions office and they said my decision was mailed 4/1. Are they mailing acceptances, or just emailing them? And should I take it as a bad sign that they didn't tell me WHAT the decision was?

It's definitely not a bad sign. Many people got their decision solely by snail mail and I'm sure it's policy not to disclose the decision over the phone unless there are extenuating circumstances. Good luck.

not giving decisions over the phone is an "official policy" as I understand it, definitely not a bad sign. i got my acceptance via snail mail, with an email following several days later.

Antiscalia, when are you visiting? I will be there next Monday. I assume the tour is helpful, but I have no idea.

If any of you guys have any questions about the campus or South Bend in general, I'll be happy to answer them. Obviously can't say anything about the Law School specifically since I'm in the same position you guys are, but very excited to most likely be coming back here next year!

Congratulations. Would you mind disclosing when your app was submitted/complete? Also, if you wouldn't mind revealing your stats that would be appreciated (perhaps by PM if you wish) Thanks!

Yea np, sent 2/1, complete 2/10, 162/3.49/URM, in with about half scholarship, wrote a pretty good "Why Notre Dame Essay" along with a pretty decent PS, and good softs.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
