I'm a 3.94/176 (I'm also neurotic), and I was wondering if not applying in October or September significantly hurts my chances of getting into schools. I've been waiting on a LOR that is about to go on its second week, and I feel like I'm stuck in between waiting for a 3rd rec until mid-November or only applying with 2 recs. Which one hurts more, 2 recs or applying in mid-Nov? I appreciate the words of wisdom.

With a 3.94 / 176, you could probably wait until June and still get in.

This.

There simply aren't that many candidates with those numbers.

Is early/mid November really considered late? Deadlines aren't until the 1st of Feb...I know earlier is better, but mid November doesn't seem to be pushing it.

I am in a similar situation, waiting on LSAC to process one more LOR. I am a little upset with how slow they are at this, and wish I would have known about the fax number ahead of time. If I don't see my last letter show up by Wednesday I'm just going to have it faxed......if they can't get these things processes when they get there then they should hire a couple more people to scan them in.

This is the kind of question you only see on TLS.

November is still early. Bottom line.

i don't think a single school requires three letters, and with your numbers, you are going to be at least a toss up for even hys, so in my opinion, send it in now, and then send along the third when it gets in. you are going to have a near perfect cycle (perfect if not for yield protection) and that third letter, since you will have already sent in two, will not be a game changer one way or the other. i could be wrong, but just my opinion

Update...I called LSAC and they had made a mistake regarding my LOR...it was there. Nothing was wrong with it, but it just got left. So I sent all my apps except Yale in today. Thanks for the replies y'all. I appreciate the advice

I think you would've been fine without LOR #3 anyway. Enjoy HYS.
