yea, the letter said it was based on academic accomplishments, I believe. But, when she called to readmit she mentioned that need access played a role in when it was sent out.

At what point would you say it's safe to call and inquire about your application?

In about two weeks, it will be 3 months since my "ready for review" email.

Not for nothing, but I would instantly withdraw elsewhere and put a deposit at BU if accepted. At the same time, if they aren't going to say yes, that would be nice to know as well.

So, 3 months? 4 months?

hmm you seem to have borderline numbers so they are probably waiting to see what their entire class looks like before they make a decision. i wouldnt worry too much but unfortunately, you might not hear back for another few weeks. i think the adcomms are very busy right now and im not sure that inquiring would help you much. theyre swamped.

Hey all,

I was about to send in my public interest scholarship application, but it requires our 2009 tax returns in the packet... how can this be possible if the app is due February 15th? The Need Access Form requires similar information, does anyone know what to do? I imagine this might have been answered somewhere in the thread, but I don't have the time to look back.

Meh

Just got WL as well. 3.77/160 URM. I withdrew my application though as soon as I got the letter. i got $$$ from GW and I wouldn't go to BU without $$ when I could go to GW with. Best of luck to everyone else though!

you do know that you can file your taxes early, right? I filed a few weeks back knowing I would need the info for various scholarship and financial aid applications, including FAFSA and Need Access. Technically speaking, employers, banks, lenders and brokers are required to provide all of your applicable tax documents (W-2's, 1099's, etc) by January 31st.

As a side note...the Need Access application is HORRENDOUS...far too much information required
