You may have a chance during negotiation later on in the year, but it sucks for us.
Are you sure thats how it is for these later decisions? Because I got my scholarship offer about a week after my acceptance packet arrived.
that's what I was just told, very annoying

Congrats! But when you end up choosing a higher ranked school, could you ask them to give that money to me? I'd really appreciate it!

I just got an e-mail from them asking for my Fall grades. My stats were 164/3.75...and at most my GPA probably went up .02 points. Can anyone give me any insight as to why they would ask for my GPA? Not to be arrogant but I figured my GPA was already pretty high and that the only thing of concern was my LSAT.
I thought usually only people with a high LSAT and a ~3.5 GPA get asked for this. Either way...I will be sending in an updated transcript ASAP.

I have the same exact stats, and I received the same email. Didn't make sense to me either, as a 3.75 is above median for BU. I also already sent my updated transcript to LSAC after grades came out in December...and LSAC says the sent the report to BU on the 8th, so I'm perplexed by this email. I guess they haven't received my report, but you'd at least think they'd realize LSAC sent it.

How long has it taken from completion to decision? I am complete since 1/13. Is there an intermediary email (perhaps, UR)?

Numbers from last year suggest it takes about a month and a half from completion to admission, or around two and a half months from completion to rejection/waitlist (although a few people who waited more than a month and a half were accepted). This only applies to late (post-December LSAT) applicants.

And a day after hearing that, I got in with $$ at UVA, so I'll be withdrawing from BU here shortly. I'll try my best to direct the Dean's Scholarship to the appropriate parties.

Since I have been complete since 11/20 and have yet to hear, is it pretty much a given that I am WL/reject? 167/3.09.

No idea, but I was complete much earlier than that. Looks like bad news

Does anyone know the norm for decision time?
I know from some schools, waiting more than 2 months means that you're out, essentially. How is it like at BU? I was complete 1/6/10 so I know I have a long way to go...

Yeah I agree. As I posted elsewhere, my thinking is that at schools who are coming out with both admits and rejections, not hearing can definitely be good (or at least not bad) news. But at schools like BU where there are only admits until later on, it's probably bad news.

Point taken, but I was saying that probably other people with the same completion date shouldn't feel very pessimistic. In all modesty, I would imagine that my chances here are fairly good; they don't seem to YP extensively.
