I'm not sure! But I'm happy to be (hopefully) the bearer of good-news-soon-to-come for many more here.

Congrats for getting in of the WL!
Now, I have a pressing question, b/c i envisioned this hypothetical. Are schools that take forever like Fordham admitting folks off of the waitlist BEFORE they have finished sending out initial decisions? And if so, does that not suggest that Fordham adcomms do not wish to make any/many offers to those still "Complete?"

I, as you may have guessed, belong to the above unenviable category. :D

I checked LSN. As with last year, there were a couple of people who randomly were taken off the waitlist during the winter, but you are the first WL/IN of official WL/IN season. Congrats!

EDIT: I got in on May 1st, which was also before many people had gotten an initial decision, but I went complete in mid November.

I'm in Asia, so I found out when I woke up this morning, via status check (what a great way to start the day!).

My stats are 3.54/165, for the PT program. I applied late (my app. was complete 1/12). I went to a Fordham Law feeder school for undergrad (Georgetown), although I'm not sure that made a difference.

My waitlist strategy was:
- Pester OperaSoprano for every shred of advice I could get!
- I sent an e-mail to DB immediately after being waitlisted, expressing my continued interest, asking if there was anything in my application the committee saw as a red flag, or wanted me to clear up.
- Right after the deposit deadline passed I sent an extended LOCI to the admissions committee, and also sent a personalized e-mail to DB.
- I WAS going to visit if I hadn't heard before returning home from Asia (I repatriate May 3), and I still WILL visit, but under very different circumstances :)

PM if you want to ask anything else! I'm now OS's waitlist guru apprentice (paying it forward, as she says)

I will literally drive from DC to NYC and hand-deliver my deposit check if they let me in...

C'mon, Fordham!

My status checker actually has an admit date of 4/20 and a deposit due date of 4/15... e-mailed them asking for the actual deposit deadline, I hope they're not expecting me to time travel! :-)

I can't, actually, which is apparently why I was waitlisted in the first place, according to DB. But luckily they were swayed by my ability to walk into any book and have an adventure, a la Gumby, since Biglaw firms are increasingly looking for that these days. Luckily... they have changed my status checker already, so no time travel will be required.

I'm more the type that lives the storylines of classic literature a la Wishbone. Does that hurt my chances of admission?

Hey all I just discovered the site yesterday and found out I'm in the same boat as all of you - waiting on Fordham!

I didn't go complete until 3/8 so I'm sure I've got awhile longer to wait.

Fordham was a bit of a reach for me (160 3.83) but I was hoping my double major (religious studies and political science), two years of varsity athletics and a past congressional internship might help.

Happy to be in good company if not happy to be stressing over what I'm doing 4 months from now.
