some people live for the weekend? what about the other days
counting down til the fun begins, 9-5 party time...

(I plan on using my time at work today to adjust my fafsa)

Considering admissions decisions are only likely to come during the week, at the this point I hate the weekend and live every Saturday just to make it to next Monday :P

Hope about getting into Fordham

Not really, but it would make the waiting better.

Eating in between meals.

My boyfriend and his best friend are giving up alcohol, which should be amusing.

I'm working on this idea of giving up "me time" - that is, I'd like to work on taking 1/2 an hour each day that I would have spent on line or watching tv and use that time to do something productive for my family. Something like that. I like the idea of taking on a challenge, for Lent. You?

edit: Lauren - thought about giving up alcohol. But then I remembered that Fordham could conceivably ding me in the next 3 weeks and I decided that the wine stays!

I was gonna do that, but then my buddies from college decided they were gonna come visit this weekend. So yeah. I've settled on dignity instead.

I gave up soda and fast food for new years (not that i really ate / drank it that much anyway) so I decided to give up paying for coffee. I know its not really giving anything up but I'm usually too lazy to make it in the morning and the coffee at works SUCKS so I'm forcing myself to move a little quicker in the AM and make it at home.

I thought about giving up booze, but me and my friends entered this beer marathon thing in boston this summer and i need to stay in top shape.

Right. I have way too many things going on in the next 40 days to even think about giving up booze (especially my friend's CD release party, which I posted in the other Fordham thread, come if you can!!!! [shameless plug]). Giving up eating in between meals is much more difficult for me, anyway.

The coffee idea is a good one!

Awesome, I think I'm supposed to be doing that as well. I didn't make my way through the entire facebook message though.

And I was looking over my credit card bill the other day and saw how much I was spending at DD and Starbucks and had to do something about it.

I have given up alcohol for every Lent since 2007. I think I'm going to do the same this year. This will get tough as March Madness happens, though, as my alma mater usually does well. A few shots may pass my lips, but other than that, once you get past the first big event at which all your friends are partying hard and you're on the sidelines with a glass of water and your dignity, it gets easier.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I say the same thing to myself Even2 and yay for a long weekend, only 2 more days to this weekend! :D

So it seems pretty well set that there won't be any movement on the waitlist for another 2 months, but I will still check my checker and this thread daily hoping to be the exception to the rule =(

Long weekend? Is there a holiday no one told me about?

I'm gonna start a pool and sell boxes like for the super bowl on how long you last without checking the status checker

Again, I would except the entirety of my social ability hinges upon how drunk I get when in social situations (better nygrrrl?)
