Well, I applied late, and I remember that Dean Pless mentioned that a lot of students who are pretty much admits are waitlisted late in the cycle, and this appears to be getting late in the cycle. I also understand that Illinois is definitely more holistic, and though I think I had decent softs and WE, I understand that there may have been better candidates. Still, it's definitely the first unexpected result of my cycle.

Is there anyone here who has been able to successfully negotiate a scholarship increase with UIUC? $20K/year is pretty neat, but nowhere near the $39K/year WUSTL offered me.

First off, I want to thank you so much for being on TLS and adding so much to the community. It is just great that you do that, and I know everyone appreciates it.

I do have one question for you: Is there any way for the admissions committee members to see other schools students are accepted at?
