Not yet--I move in next week, too.

How's the U-verse treating you, Nancy? I've already had a bad experience with Comcast, and I haven't even started packing to move...

Had a few issues getting it set up (turned out the box they gave me was bad), but since then it's been great. REALLY fast.

I'd make a joke about B2 (my section) stealth bombers, but there are no jokes about stealth bombers. Just win and awesomeness (aside from if, you know, you're the one getting bombed and all). I'd like to think my section assignment says something about my stealthy legal prowess. Or perhaps not.
Stealth section here too. :D

I have that same one, and I'm guessing it's PM. I can't imagine it being AM.

Does everybody know how they'll be purchasing their books before loan reimbursements come in?

I've been led to believe that you can request an advance on your student loans in order to buy textbooks... I'm going to be doing that if possible, and also seeing if I can get one for a laptop as well (although the loan extension for a laptop seems to be something you get post-purchase).

Law School takes...VISA :D

I think that there's a short-term loan that you can request for textbooks if you don't have the cash. And you'd be required to pay as soon as your loan money is refunded.

I called the bookstore for the prices on the textbooks for my section(B2) and most are cheaper at the school than on
Amazon.com. They already have the bundles ready and you just tell them your section.

I'm pretty sure Julie told me about it.

Hrm. I can't find it. I don't remember doing any hard drugs in the last few years.

I think Dean Pless mentioned something many many posts ago.

Thanks. I hope this covers the cost of books. I haven't gotten a chance to check at the bookstore. I came to Champaign with little more than the clothes on my back and my first month's rent.

Did they give you any specifics on the prices? I'm debating whether or not to go new or used.

How much did the bundle for B2 cost?

They did give me the price for each book, but I threw away the paper after deciding I'd buy them at the school, sorry!

Most were about $15 - $20 cheaper at the bookstore, and one was more expensive by $4

I don't know why I didn't ask for the bundle price :|

I'd buy used books as long as they're clean, another good reason to wait until orientation is that many 2Ls will be selling their old books. (but don't tell anyone :D )

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
