Typically that would be 2 weeks worth. So November 17th or so, but that is a guess.

I would like to, but I have a real issue with denying people that close to the holidays. We will see. If not, the next round of decisions won't come out until January 8th, but that should be at least 350 decisions.
hopefully a Bears victory this weekend will instill a level of energy in you to read an additional couple hundred files by next week (fingers crossed).

I just received my third fee waiver. No decision on the app I submitted in mid-November though. :?:

If this is the case, they have let me know 3 times now. I would prefer they just review the application I have already submitted. :|

Dean Pless,

After acceptance to the law school, what is the importance (if any) of grades received from this semester and next semester, given that no class is failed?

Again, sorry about that. We sent out an invitation to apply to people we thought we would be interested in. Today we were sending out a reminder and the list wasn't properly cleared of those that had already applied. It was a mistake.

Under review 12/11.

I was held over (12/11). Can anybody elaborate on this? Does anybody from last year have experience with being held? Are poeple who are held over typically admitted, denied or waitlisted? Sorry for all the questions this is just my first "hold" so I'm curious as to what exactly it entails. Any input is appreciated!!!!

My file is complete on 11/10. Does that mean I won't get the decision until January? :( Wating&Waiting&Waiting

I was put on hold for second review. Is this basically a waitlisted? Or is hold better/worse?

Almost seems like a defer, even though you're already RD. They probably want to wait to get more apps and then see how you stack amongst a bigger applicant pool. Wait until Monday, Dean Pless could probably tell you exactly what being held means.

TITCR

Pretty sure he covered this in his massive thread from last cycle. I think he just wants a better idea of how your application stacks up to the whole applicant pool. I don't think it's really a bad thing either. It means you weren't really an auto-admit, but it also means he liked you enough to keep you around for another look. You're still an active applicant which in my book is far better than being on a waitlist at this point.

Thanks for the responses guys! Does anybody know if people who are held over usually admitted, waitlisted, or denied?

oh no......how about you trade the avatar for an admit + $$$? I'm sure Dean P would prefer to do that than change his avatar.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
