I made it in a couple of weeks ago... Now if I can just survive this heat wave.

Seriously! My poor little AC unit was trying SO HARD yesterday, and couldn't manage to get below 81. I didn't move from AZ for this.jackalope11 wrote:NancyBotwin wrote:I forget, are any of you guys in town yet?

Ugh. And I have errands to run today, too.jackalope11 wrote:One of my sales pitches to my wife to move us here was that the summers would at least be a little cooler than they were in the South... I heard one of the radio DJ's say that the heat index may get as high as 115 today. Cripes, that's HOTTER than AZ!

Edit: Swinging by the bookstore here in a bit and checking out the prices... Will post with more info, if you guys are interested. Full disclosure: I think I will be going with new books this first semester, just to be safe...

On the other hand, this past Sunday and Monday were pretty nice.NancyBotwin wrote:Seriously! My poor little AC unit was trying SO HARD yesterday, and couldn't manage to get below 81. I didn't move from AZ for this.jackalope11 wrote:NancyBotwin wrote:I forget, are any of you guys in town yet?

That's very true. It needs to be like that more often.TCScrutinizer wrote:On the other hand, this past Sunday and Monday were pretty nice.

Woot.
I only checked prices for new books. The total cost at the bookstore for the B2 section book bundle is $659 plus taxes. So unless there is a huge difference in cost from one section to another we will have extra cash from the book budget, great for those sneaky moving expenses.MBZags wrote:We win.Chupavida wrote:C5

yhezel - were those prices $15-$20 cheaper than the new or used prices on Amazon? I'm assuming new, but just want to be safe.
I am planning on sending out an email on Monday afternoon with the last update. I don't think there will be much movement at this point in time.emorystud2010 wrote:Dean Pless,
In your opinion, will there probably be any more wait list movement? Will any more updates be sent out? Thanks!

oh in that case, I forgot a soft factor that could help me get off the waitlist.

We haven't withdrawn anyone from the wait list. It is unlikely that we will make any additional offers.anthropologieaddict wrote:Dean Pless:
I was just looking for some clarification on whether or not this last email meant that you were releasing the waitlist or that we remain on the list but should not expect any further movement?
Thanks.

They do need an official undergraduate transcript, but I don't remember offhand whose attention it goes to. Look around the site, or the summer checklistsLSHPFL10 wrote:This has probably already been answered at some point, but should I have already mailed/faxed my completed undergraduate transcript to someone at the college? If so, to whom?
