THIS week...this is the week where all of us under review get decisions.

I feel it (I hope). Also, I'm wearing my Twins shirt in hopes it brings good Minneapolis karma.

Recent e-mail for U of M, told me to expect a decision 10-12 weeks after you go complete.

Received my admission packet in the mail today (large snail mail envelope).

$10,000/yr scholarship, renewable contingent on maintaining a 2.5 GPA. I was shocked to be admitted, yet alone receive a scholarship. Looks pretty likely that I'll end up in Minneapolis at this point.

Did you receive a phone call acceptance prior to getting the mailing? Or was the packet the first you heard from them? I keep waiting by the phone for a call, but if some people don't even get them I'll feel a little less stressed.

Trick question, the bears suck so much this year its impossible to be a fair weather fan. Yesterdays game against the Packers was as disgrace. It was winable. Even though the Bears were out of the playoffs I was hoping they'd screw the Packers out of the wild card.

I got e-mail only, no phone call. Feel a little bit unloved.

I just got my acceptance letter, and they are offering me a $30,000/yr scholly renewable with a 2.5 or higher. I'm not a resident. I got the phone call last Thursday.

Does anyone know if you can apply to become a resident for your second and third years?

This argument makes no sense as a Lions fan....

I don't think so. But there is either a thread or article on TLS that discuss the relative difficulty to beoming a resident in various states. I'm on my iPhone now so I can't check but look at the articles section I think.

Congrats roxyj! That's a great scholly. :D

As far as I know, you can apply for residency, but I have heard from a friend that it's not easy to get it. FWIW.

Cheers!

I don't think you can get residency if your primary reason for living in MN is to go to school.
