lol, Chicago and NW are practically off the table for me because the cold is so severe, but this is insane. You Southern types are wimps.

California =/= the South.

I'm close to C'Ville and the weather has been nice to us this year besides the past few days. I wouldn't worry about it getting too cold. It hovers around 30-40 for a few months in the winter, but its completely manageable. Especially compared to Ithaca, Ann Arbor, and Chicago.

Thanks! LSAT mid-170s; GPA high 3.9s; In-state; and some relatively unusual softs.

Well, I knew I was getting in; wasn't counting on a scholarship of that size, though.

Congratulations! You're going to love UVA. :D

HYV may be the hardest choice anyone ever has to make.

That's what I was going to suggest: wait before committing yourself. You sound like you have HYS (or CCN) written all over you, according to your self-description.

I think the hardest choice would be HYS vs. CLS Hamilton. That one would take a lot of thought.

I'm really cost-conscious about this, though. Not interested in taking on 200 grand of debt to go to Columbia. Period.

So I realize that this likely means nothing, but my File Complete, Pending Review/Decision date just changed from 10/14 to 12/07. It kinda gave me a little heart attack to see something different on the status checker.

That's all.

Mine went from 11/17 --> 12/01. :\ I guess it doesn't really mean anything.

Some people think it means a committee member has reviewed your application again.
