It sounds like they're actually overenrolled at this point. By withdrawing you did them a favor.
TITCR. In the same boat as boojersey, told no scholly coming due to already having a full class. It seemed like they were no longer courting anyone to enroll...even accepted applicants who would pay full tuition.

residency didn't get me anywhere in terms of "wooing" money either. i mean, good for them. i know they wanted to shave down their class size a bit and i hope it worked out.

FTL = for the loss = opposite of FTW (for the win)

"xyz FTL" means that xyz screwed you over.

What advantage does trimming the waitlist offer to the school? And is this a good sign for those of us lowly souls who are still on the waitlist and would offer our firstborn for admission?

Or should I stop seeing omens in the sky?

yeah sounds like someone is more likely to get off the waitlist at harvard (or anywhere else) than at uva

down endowments -> fewer students seduced away by lower schools -> overenrollment at top programs?

Released. I was an LSAT outlier though, so strength of GPA and PS isn't enough to stay alive in this over-enrolled UVA Law cycle.
GL, everyone!

it's interesting that if only based on LSN attending percentage is not that high. Clearly a lot of ppl who have paid the deposit just donLt update their LSN Profiles or don't have profiles at all

I received an email from the admissions office. They are very over-enrolled despite having tried to accept conservatively, so much so that even if an abnormally large number of deposits withdraw they will still be over-enrolled. They will be releasing the waitlist over the course of the next week or so. As someone who very much wished to be accepted off the waitlist, this news really stings. Just thought all my fellow WLers would want to know.

Erhhh, I was released from the waitlist this morning too. If I apply for next cycle, will the fact that I was on their waitlist get me any advantage for UVA application?

I'm guessing no, especially if you don't have a 3.85+ or 170+. UVA also waitlists tons of VA residents as soft rejections.
