Since your GPA is below median no matter what, you'd need a 170 to have any shot at getting in off the WL.

Just curious -- what was your LSAT score? I applied ~3mos ago, with approx the same GPA and haven't heard a thing. I told them upfront that I intended to retake in Feb (I am also below the median LSAT), and just assumed that they were waiting on that score to make a decision. Now I'm wondering why I haven't been WL'd..

BTW, my take on it is a 170 will give us a fighting chance, and anything higher would make admission more likely than not (but I don't have anything to substantiate that claim).

Uh, if you told them you're taking in Feb then they're probably waiting for that score. Though it may be tough to get in that late even with a 170+ depending on how the class is shaping up.

Do they have a withdrawal form, or am I supposed to write a letter asking them to 'withdraw me from consideration' or something to that effect? Thanks guys :)

Send them a polite email expressing your regret that you will not attending, and ask them to reply with a confirmation that your application has been withdrawn. (Sometimes, people try to withdraw from a school and then get a surprise acceptance months later.)

You didn't get into F'ing CLS without me, did you?

I would probably do it it in writing and send it in if you want to be a courteous as possible. Otherwise just email them.

yeah right V6, I am referring to the school in your 'tar. I think I'm going to send a letter, based on my law firm WE, lawyers love having everything in hard copy format.

Just making sure. We can both plan to go to NYU and then switch to CLS when we get the VCE.

i've been ur since the first of november. Updated once in late november and no change since. I have zero expectations of being accepted, but it is taking a really long time.

Complete/UR for about a month. I have numbers that are right in the "sweet spot" for a RD acceptance with $$ for UVA, so I'm really hoping I hear something soon.

I was UR from 9/18 to about a week ago. I wouldn't sweat it. But it is annoying.

UR 9/18 and no decision yet is a little ridiculous, it's not like your stats are even borderline.

Well I got a decision, and they ended up giving me a lot of money. It just happened on January 29th, ha. I had honestly posted in here about frustrated I was, how I figured they only red a word of my PS per day, and how if I hadn't heard by mid-February I would withdraw.

Got an email this morning asking me to call the director of admissions to "discuss my application." Left a message about an hour after I received the email....hoping hoping hoping for good news!

I'm 99% sure this means you got in... but you should probably try calling back a couple more times this afternoon to make sure. With the weather forecast going the way it is there's a likely chance the entire university will be closed tomorrow, so if you don't find out this afternoon you'll be stuck waiting and wondering until Monday.

Virginia is pretty sweet in the amount of information they provide you once you're admitted. Everything has been very helpful.

Just got the call back! I'm in! =)
Just got out of my Georgetown interview this morning too too...hopefully they like me as much as UVA does!
