Was looking at your information and read that you were offered scholarship money during your acceptance phone call... is this right? I wonder if I would be correct to infer that since I was not offered any money during my call that I do not have any coming my way...

I'm not Saya, but I was offered the same scholarship haha. And I was under the impression that only the big scholarships are offered over the phone, but that smaller scholarships are granted later. So there's definitely still a chance for merit aid.

I think this extension of ED is a stunningly brilliant ploy by the admissions folks at UVA. I went complete/UR on 12/1, and I'm very seriously thinking about sending one in. Harvard and Yale remain longshots, I LOVE UVA, but I'm bugging out about merit aid at other places. I figure I'm a lock for 70k at one of the T14s, and I don't want to commit anywhere before I have an idea about money. Would it be kosher for me to email them, be honest about my circumstances, and hope that I get a response I like?

That means you'll have to wait until late March/April for scholarship info (and that you probably didn't get one of the 1/2 or full ones).

Dang, hopefully I get an okay scholarship. I really like UVa a lot, but it would have to turn down Chicago, or NYU, etc. without a good scholarship. Thanks!

Nope, I havent heard yet. you? I would go to UVA over Michigan though. I just am really hoping that they still give out good scholarships if they dont tell you over the phone
