I just got rejected. It is my first, but I am not surprised. I am glad I at least have some acceptances already otherwise it would have bothered me more.

I'm concerned that the quality of my letters or personal statement might be subpar now though.
Crap... I have similar numbers, just a slightly higher GPA. Ugh I hope they don't start YPing.
+1. I know they will though
I sent in a Why UVA... hopefully that'll help some

Did you submit it with your application or after? The wording makes it sound like you sent it after.. is that allowed? Because I'd like to do that at UMich

I sent it in after I submitted (I called the admissions office first to see if they would allow it). But I only sent it a day or two after submitting. It might be worth a try though.

Just submitted, got my last rec one day too late for ED. Seems like they let in the whole ED crew...hope they still have some seats left.

My first thought by the timing of this was that they held a stack that they would have very possibly accepted if they were ED until the ED deadline to see if people faxed in the form - and then when these didn't, they WL'd (YP'd) or rejected. Wonder how many would have gotten in if they'd faxed in the ED form yesterday... (if any)

That doesn't make too much sense to me. Most of the rejections/WL's I've seen on here have been in line with what I expect from them numbers wise with a couple exceptions.

I'm from VA though so hopefully that helps me out.

I would bet a large sum of money that anyone with a 170+ LSAT or a 3.85+ GPA that got WL or rejected today would have gotten in had they applied ED.

What do you think would happen if they wrote a LOCI stating that they would immediately accept an offer of admission and withdraw all other applications?

This may not be the best time to ask this, but does anyone think they will have a similar wave of acceptances before Christmas?

Nothing as yet, complete since 11/9. Though it does seem to have been a sad day on TLS.....sorry for all those who got dings/WL.

Complete as of 10/23, and amazed that I made it out of the day without a WL or rejection email. I'm sure the bloodbath could very well continue into tomorrow, so I'm not getting my hopes up or anything. Sorry to all those who didn't get in. Keep those heads up, because I'm sure many great acceptances are still to come.

Woke up this morning in Beijing to a waitlist email from Virginia... I didn't write a UVA letter. I will have work on that, depending on my NYU ED pending acceptance/reject.

I think it would give you a better chance of getting in off the WL than if you didn't.

is this a recommended way of going about the LOCI?

It is if you're telling the truth in it, i.e., don't say this and then not pay a seat deposit and attend if they accept you. There is no stronger language you can put in a LOCI than this, but you can really fuck yourself by lying to a law school, so be sure you mean it.

Me! I went complete on 12/11, and have had my status updated twice this week (12/13, 12/16). It's driving me insane not knowing what this means.... :?

My status still says File Complete, Pending Review/Decision and has ever since 11/11...is that normal?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
