True. It's a waste of money for people with our stats to apply RD to UVA. The three unavoidable things in life are death, taxes, and UVA YP.tomhobbes wrote:I forgot, then when I finally remembered I was lazy and I was like "they'll probably waitlist me anyway, no harm done."CardinalRules wrote:LOL, you hadn't withdrawn? Well damn I've had two numbers twins get WLed today by UVA. Still alive but I guess I'm just counting down the days now until I get my own sparkly WL e-mail.

Re: UVA 2010, RD
At least several of you (GeePee, tomhobbes come to mind) have stats so far above UVA's medians that you already have acceptances to HYS. I got screwed. I'm almost positive I'll have no HYS, I've been WL at MV, and now I'm counting myself fortunate to have my P acceptance. K, nuff with the pity party.pleasepickme wrote:WL today too. Numbers WAY above medians, but not that annoyed because I have lots of other good choices. Whatevs!

In your case it appears as if they will just never respond to your application.thickfreakness wrote:I also heard UVA never, ever, ever, ever ever ever YPs anybody ever.jawsthegreat wrote:I heard you were lame.FunkyJD wrote:WL'd!

ITT: A UVA homer, jawsthegreat, officially releases his own law school rankings. UVA miraculousy jumps to #2. The only school to edge out UVA? You guessed it...TTThomas Cooley Law.jawsthegreat wrote:I heard you were lame.FunkyJD wrote:WL'd!

Re: UVA 2010, RD
And for the record, my post's intention was to encourage those who have been admitted to UVa to abandon that intention for other opportunities (HLS, Stanford, you choose) so that those of us who were WL'd @ UVa may have the opportunity to attend -- wink, wink. Wasn't trying to be a bastard. I save that for the Ding Bar.

i also was waitlisted.
i think i may have been accepted if i had scored lower on the LSAT, or had a worse GPA, or both.

Re: UVA 2010, RD
Maybe. It's been over 2 months. I just don't know whether I'll get a call with 75-90k or a waitlist at this point, though I'm inclined to think a WL is coming my way. It's been a frustrating process, but my anxiety has lessened substantially since getting in at some other places. At this point I'm obviously still anxious to get a decision, but I'm trying to focus my energy on the two other schools I'm considering that have admitted me and are actually showing interest.jawsthegreat wrote:In your case it appears as if they will just never respond to your application.thickfreakness wrote:I also heard UVA never, ever, ever, ever ever ever YPs anybody ever.jawsthegreat wrote:I heard you were lame.FunkyJD wrote:WL'd!

The odds are that most HYS admits were YP'd at UVA.
I'm waiting for someone who really wants to get UVA to deliberately answer a few questions incorrectly on their LSAT in order to shoot for the right score window.

Yeah, 170 is really better than 171+ for almost all GPAs. However, if you really wanted UVA that much, you would ED even with T6 numbers and get some $$$.CardinalRules wrote:FunkyJD wrote:And for the record, my post's intention was to encourage those who have been admitted to UVa to abandon that intention for other opportunities (HLS, Stanford, you choose) so that those of us who were WL'd @ UVa may have the opportunity to attend.

Wait Listed today. Pleasantly surprised as I thought I might have been very close to an auto reject with my numbers. My GPA is barely above the 25% and my LSAT score is below.
Shows that they looked at my whole app. and liked some of the other components.

WL 3/10. For those keeping track: 171/4.1, applied early January.

So, after today's WL carnage, are there any October/November complete folks left who are still standing?
