Just got the answer to my question:

Waitlisted 1 minute ago. Stats in LSN--complete 11/2 and updated 1/4. Not really a shocker, but getting waitlisted at UVA doesn't give me good feelings of my chances at my reaches.

Oh well! Anyone know if its possible to get scholarship money if you get taken off the waitlist? lol

Until 2 days ago, mine was 12/1. I'm starting to understand why October/November people were getting so huffy a month ago when the rest of us were getting impatient.
ive been UR since 11/9 with one update on 1/7.

I should have added I got my status checker on 11/10 and then updated to 1/13 and haven't heard anything since....

Got the WL email today, I was probably YP-ed. I was planning to withdraw anyway but they beat me to the punch.

Is email an inappropriate way to withdraw? I hope not, because I just sent a withdrawal email....they didn't want to waste a stamp on me either, so I think that's fair

Waitlisted. Damnit I don't think I'll break the top 14 this year at this rate. The last 5 schools I've heard from (GULC, Boalt, NYU, ND, UVA) have all been waitlist or rejections. I'm getting really depressed... the Lakers' recent success is the only thing keeping me sane!

Last year they took no one. It varies I guess.

Not if they over-enroll their class to begin with... but the WL email did say they are consciously avoiding that this cycle.

Apparently it goes from 5-50 on any given year. Last year, it was a scale of 0-0.

Unfortunately, they put you back in the same boat you were in then. They gave you a status to WAIT. I'm hoping you get an answer soon!

Waitlisted as well, 3.41/172. Should we write LOCIs? UVA is one of my top two, along with Northwestern, who I have yet to hear from.

Waitlisted today. It took them forever to make a decision on me (had been complete since October). I'm 169 3.85. I have a feeling if I was 169 3.84 I would have been dinged/WL'd months ago.

I also wan't a big fan of the way the email was worded. And maybe I'm crazy, but the person signing the email with the year he graduated (even though I know this is standard) is irritating in a rejection/WL letter. Like "hey I was good enough to get in, but you're not!." I think I'm just having a bad day.

You should have ED, but yes you should write a LOCI, don't expect anything though UVA doesn't normally take that many from the WL.

hmmm, still nothing for me. i had the complete date update on 2/8 but no word today. i'm expecting a ding (168, 3.9, no Why UVA). why all the stringing along??
