I got put on hold for regular decision :(. 166 LSAT, 3.97 GPA. This sucks!! I'm only one point below their LSAT median and way above their GPA 75%. Do I still have a chance to get in on regular decision? Can anyone explain to me the process of including an addendum?

Sorry to hear.

Addendum for what? Like a LOCI?

I don't think being held for RD is too bad. A few people have been dinged outright.

You'll probably do fine in the RD pool with those numbers.

Yeah I meant LOCI. Should I just add it onto my online application through LDSAS? Send it straight the school? What should it cover?

I sent mine straight to the school. I basically told them that I didn't apply anywhere else, so please don't YP me! Just let them know why you like the school.

Is the UT Admissions status checker one for all UT schools or just undergrad? Because it says there's no info on file yet they had a TexId for me already (though I had to go look for it instead of waiting for an e-mail which has yet to come....).

Congrats, but don't hold your breath for scholarship money with those numbers. Others have been held over into the RD pool or even flat out rejected with similar. It does seem like UT is fishing for high GPAs this year though. At least this early in the cycle.

Yeah. I was seriously surprised that I got an acceptance so early honestly. I'm taking the LSAT again, hopefully that will help since I definitely don't think I could afford paying full out-of-state tuition.

I got email that I was held over for R.D.- I was surprised that I did not receive outright reject.

161-- 3.75- in-state.

Accepted two weeks ago. Scholarship offer last week. Super excited about UT. 98% chance I will end up in Austin next year.

I'm in the same boat - I just went online and I'm certain that I found my own UT EID, but it says an error has occurred. I'm sure this is because I found the ID and it wasn't emailed to me. It's a painful waiting game, isn't it?

FWIW, I did the same thing before I officially received my status checker (UT undergrad, so I already had an EID) and also received that error.

Does the status change from "complete" before you get a decision?

I received a packet, then a call from the dean two days later. I believe status changed to "admitted" the same day I received the phone call.

Just got the dean's scholarship 12,000/yr plus in-state tuition exemption. Great deal but its staggering to see how much this will still cost. It would be hard to justify that over penn or nyu, maybe they'll raise the $$ later in the year. . .

With 12k and NTRE, that puts UT's cited COA at $92,748. That's easily less than half of Penn or NYU w/o a scholarship.

Yeah but Penn and NYU are significantly better than UT. I think he's trying to say that the cost savings at UT, while significant, still aren't worth it.

Are Penn and NYU worth twice as much?

This will obviously vary by individual, but I don't believe they are. Besides, Penn is going to YP me anyway.

For employment in Texas? No.

It wont' be worth it for the entire southern region of the country. It will obviously be worth it for NYC, Cali, and DC.
