Just got an email inviting me to apply for a scholarship. Freaked me out because I'm 'being considered for' one of their full ride scholies. Mean.

Got the potential Dean's Fellow candidate email. That's a double-caveat, but it still excites me. I was about ready to withdraw if I didn't hear about this, but now I'm pumped - full scholarships are beautiful-looking things.

got this email too. second one they sent me. no way I'm submitting a deposit until I know though - my goal is to go to school on the cheap.

Yeah, I saw that some people had a 3/1 first deposit date, but mine is 4/1, so it makes it much easier to wait. I don't get the idea of staggered deposit dates. Of course, personally, I think that there should be a universal deposit date (4/15 would be my firm choice) that all schools must adhere to. It's completely unfair otherwise.

These SCU e-mails are starting to annoy me. I've gotten the same two e-mails that some other people got about the Dean's Fellowship. I'd be very, very interested in attending if they offered one. But it almost seems like they want you to pay a deposit before they'll consider you. It seems very weird they wouldn't ask for a short essay or something.

Status checker changed to 2/22. It doesn't say "2nd review" or anything. Just "In Committee". I wonder if they pulled my file on Monday and are currently looking at it. Thank goodness they didn't lose my app.

They contacted me via e-mail. Gave me a list of dates/times. I chose one and that was it.

Status Checker now says 2nd Review. I was "in decision" since 9/30. It's nice to finally see movement. Altho I'm not sure if 2nd review = good or = bad

I think they tossed my app out the window....along with every other CA school. Been complete since 12/8 with no movement anywhere except out of state. UGH.

+1 - I wish I knew what the distinction was, I was "In Committee" 1/20, and now I'm "In Committee" again today (2/26)...

maybe they were waiting to see who turns in deposits today (I think march 1st was the deadline for a lot of people)
