This further illustrates that they are using our first decisions like a wait list.

I don't think this changes my mind about UVa but it's still awesome nonetheless! I got accepted so late and my numbers aren't really THAT spectacular so I doubt I'm getting a scholarship, but it'd be nice to know before I put down my deposit on UVa anyways. Does anyone know how long it took them to get their package? The decision was made on 4/23...any chance of getting it before the 30th?

congrats! complete date?

Thanks! :) My complete date was 3/17

Thanks. I am quite surprised to get in considering my stats and the competition this year. I applied early Jan. and went complete mid March.

Can anyone tell me if they Fedex/DHL/TNT the acceptance package? I live on the other side of the world and waiting 2 weeks to get confirmation would potentially drive me crazy.

Congratulations, you're accepted! I called on Thursday to ask about the status of my application and they told me to call when my status checker changed and they would be happy to give me the decision over the phone. You should definitely call, they would love to give you the good news.

I called and they confirmed I got in. I have to say I am kinda surprised since my numbers aren't all that spectacular. Practically everyone numbers close to mine have been either rejected or WL.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

That's good to know that people with marginal numbers still have a chance at getting in. My GPA sucks, but my LSAT is fine and I have pretty good softs (graduate degree, great WE, good extracurriculars). Usually Cornell doesn't consider splitters unless they are at least 170+, but I applied nonetheless. Still, I give myself less than a 10% chance of getting in.

Mind sharing your numbers?

Guess they calculated roughly how many deposited they received. Congrats to those who got in!

Wow, congrats to everyone getting in today!

FYI: I just called to ask about "reserve" decisions and she told me not to expect to hear anything until the end of May. Looks like another month of waiting.

Congrats to everyone! It's nice to see movement :) (even if it does mean spots are filling up :( )

And thanks 2013esq, for calling and reporting back. I wish I could just go comatose until the end of May (end of June, actually).

You know what would happen if you did that. They'd admit you tomorrow and then you'd miss the seat deposit deadline and give your spot to me.

Honestly, with the way this cycle has been going for me, that is EXACTLY what would happen.

Just found out I'm in. 168/3.61. Actually had brought my checkbook to work to send in my GW deposit today. No idea how i'm going to make this decision.

Ugh.

I'm really praying for a miracle. No response yet and my numbers, LSAT wise, are around everyone who got accepted today. So I hope this week will be the week that changes my life. Cornellia, do not reject me!!

Ding. Letter dated 4/19. I'm glad I didn't call -- as predicted, having it my hands provided some outlet. =)

Good luck to all those still waiting.

3/20 complete. Sent mid-late Jan.

I'm a bit surprised by the lack of a WL given the rest of my cycle, but I probably wouldn't have pursued it anyway. It's good to have closure, but if they were going to do this, I wish they'd gotten it over with sooner.

Application received 1/29, went complete 3/24. I live in DC currently, work in gov't. BF says he'll come to Ithaca with me (talk about commitment) but I'm not sure I could do that to him. Time to agonize...

might be a stupid question: for those who received a reserve decision and acknowledged that they wanted to continue to be on reserve via email, what was the email like? Can I just send a quick email saying "I would like to stay on reserve..." or no?

Congratulations to all those accepted today! Does Cornell send out an email when your status checker changes to DR?
