Sorry to hear that! Are you planning on riding it out? What are your stats, if you don't mind me asking?

Don't be sorry; I'm elated and am most certainly going to ride it out. I have a 3.6 and a 167 with an MA [edit: Master's degree] and a disability (I don't know if that makes me a URM or not).

Ah, congrats then! I most definitely understand your elation. I have very similar numbers (and currently finishing off an MA) and would be equally stoked to be on the waitlist. Best of luck riding it out!

Oh, gross :P

They ended up being the most expensive school for me, so while their ASD was enjoyable it made 0 sense for me to go.

You probably could've leveraged further. But yeah, that's a convincing argument.

They gave me my offer 1 week before the deposit deadline, and I told them about my other offers and they said they would 'send me off to the committee' for a review. Not holding my breath to hear anything by tomorrow, they just cut the line lol.

Unlike Duke, who when I emailed the Dean and everyone in the office about my UT deadline today and my doubled scholarship offer from UT they got the scholarship committee together despite it not being scheduled just to review my request for more money (and called to let me know of their decision). Even if they had come back with $0, its the appearance that they care about me that won me over.

:) Probably too much trouble for someone going to Duke to click on your profile.

No, just too much work to actually read the profile. I click it looking for a LSN, but found none. I also remember there were a lot more schools there besides Cornell last night.

Withdrew, and I told them to give my seat and $60k to one of you still waiting to brighten up your life. Lets see if they take my advice. Good luck.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
