No. If there's one thing we've learned over the last few nights, it's that there really isn't a clear pattern to what Cornell is doing right now. Last night, at least a couple people got in who had been EAC since early October. I wouldn't assume anything right now.
fuck....thanks

Still nothin from them... But only a few hours until Michigan (possibly/hopefully/maybe) ends this entire process once and for all!

Guesses?
from looking at the EA Deferred thread from last year, in march it changes to Complete as of a particular date (i.e. 03/11) and soon afterwards (maybe a week or so) it will go to decision again which will either be an acceptance, denial, or placement on the reserve list for review again in june.
 March!?! -sigh- it's gonna be a long spring eh?

What is the "reserve list"? Is that better than the waitlist?

Thanks for doing the recon on that. Do you have the link to the thread, looks like that's gonna be useful to me.
people on reserve will be re-evaluated in june and will be either accepted, rejected, or placed on the summer waitlist.

though at each stage there a few who get in, the vast majority don't... cornell's deferred/reserve/summer wait-lists are much less active than georgetown's waitlist.

there are some from last year who applied in october, were deferred in december, placed on the reserve list in march, placed on the summer waitlist in june, and then rejected in august....quite depressing.

i really think the best thing deferred/reserve/summerwaitlist applicants can do for themselves is to retake the lsat in feb/june.

I went through the thread. It was last Wednesday night/Thursday morning they updated. Looks like tomorrow will be another night of no updates.
until then EVERYONE should savor the moments that they are "still in the game"

Has anyone called today? Is that nice lady still working? Still haven't mustered the courage to call, as I am sure I am waitlisted (3.5, 168)

I got in with almost the same numbers. You might as well call and find out.

I have a 169/3.5, called yesterday, and was accepted (at least I am pretty sure I was. I really should have continued listening after congratulations).

Personal decision, but don't be afraid to call.

Why doesn't Cornell have an in at Cornell thread? Most of the other schools do.

Because until recently no one was In at Cornell. First In I think was page 113 or so.

So you called without a DR status update? Or did you have DR?

Ahh okay I missed that. I thought if they were giving out decisions over the phone for people who hadn't gotten DR they might have set themselves up for a ridiculous number of phone calls from TLSers

Congratulations!

Dakatz, are you URM? We are numbers twins, so that gives me hope, but obviously URM might skew my odds.

i also have similar numbers (3.5/169) and called yesterday (IN). very nervous to do so, since they tell us not to... but the lady couldnt have been nicer and said "its nice to be able to give out good news." i say give it a shot.
