Congratulations to all the new acceptances! Based on the numbers in and out, it looks like Cornell may be be actually practicing the mythical (at least on TLS) holistic admission review. Makes me like them even more! (Please let me in Cornell, I love you so).

You can find some of that information by looking through the last five pages. It's probably better for the thread if we don't have yet another round of dozens of "I'm still EAC complete 11/x" posts.

Deferred. :(
EA 167, 3.76.

I wonder if there are a lot of stories of deferred people getting acceptances later on.

Whoa! Sorry gossipgirl. Clearly YP, no? They probably just want you to show your love in an LOCI before they give you a full-ride and a stipend. :D

Not sure about the past, but it would seem likely this year given the number of solid applicants being deferred. But who knows.

EAC 11/3

11/9. No worries, we'll be fine.

Yeah, don't worry. I was 10/9 EAC and just heard this morning.

My condolences, friend. I'm in the same boat. How did you get deferred at or above both 75ths? Damn. Hopefully, a lot of people end up withdrawing.

Deferred as well. The very kind admissions lady said my application will be looked at again in March. Congrats to those who got in!

Okay in all seriousness what the hell is cornell looking for? I am slightly below 3.7 with a 168. It seems that you and I should be the people they take EA. But they're deferring us, they're deferring the 170-breakers. I simply don't understand. My softs are real good too.

I think it's because I took the LSAT twice. They probably think that I took the LSAT again to get into CCN and so think I'm not very interested in their school, which isn't true.

I'll send along my updated transcript and informaton about why I'm interested in Ithaca and Cornell. I've visited three times and am awed by the beauty of the campus every time.

No way! I somehow managed to get IN!! After a largely sleepless night, I called at about 8:15, celebrated for awhile, then actually slept a bit. Thats my first break into the T14 so I'm ecstatic about it. Congrats to everyone else who got in, and to those who didn't, we all have your backs and know you will get into a bunch of great schools.
