I don't think you guys need to worry about the Admitted Students link. It was only up for a few hours overnight before Cornell took it offline the following morning.

No admitted students link. FML.

The admitted students link isn't supposed to show up anyway, though. That's why it disappeared shortly after folks saw it. So, no worries dude.

You already got into NYU, Michigan, and Berkeley and you're worried about Cornell? Shoot, man.

Sigh. I wish I had applied EA.

You didn't even apply EA? Do you think they're even going to look at your file in the month of December?

I guess not... sheesh. No reason to be a jerk about it.

+1. There are still number of very qualified 11/11ers floating around, so honestly I'm not terribly worried.

I'm 11/12, and while it sucks to wait I'm not overly concerned whenever I'm not in a batch of decisions. With the way Cornell is doing them they could be either acceptances deferrals or rejections. I'm just waiting and trying to be as patient as I can.

Still EAC Complete, 11/17.

We've noticed that the status checker updates lag behind the actual updates by 2 days--e.g., tonight's update reflects the decisions made on Friday. This makes me wonder if we'll see any updates over the next two nights. If the admissions office does not work over the weekend, it likely means that we won't see the next round until Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

For at least the first two batches (11/20 and 11/24), it appeared that all decisions were deferrals. Since then, most batches seem to be a mix of acceptances, rejections, and deferrals.

Seriously. At least I'll be on break by then (and enjoying much better weather than what they've got in Ithaca)! 8)

There's a post from someone a few days ago who said that he called the admissions office and was told that there were going to be decisions rendered from now to the 24th every day, I believe. He may have gotten it wrong, but that's what I believe he said.

So the office opens at 8? And they are totally cool with us calling and asking for our decisions? Just want to make sure before I make myself look stupid.

Years ago, I worked in an admissions office. When someone there said "every day," they really meant "every business day (M-F)." But who knows? We'll find out tomorrow night, I suppose.

Holy shit, just changed to DR a few minutes ago. What are the rules for calling when they open? Good sign? Bad?

There aren't any special rules about calling. You can call when they're open, and they'll give you your decision over the phone.

I don't know if it's a good or bad sign for you. Lately, they've been releasing acceptances and denials together, so there's no reason, based on the date of your decision, to expect one outcome over the other. You'll get to find out in about 8 hours. Good luck.
