Called as well at 8:10. In, but didn't explicitly say that the link means acceptance.

This person posted on LSN and said he called. But I'm wondering if his complete date of 12/02 is accurate.

That is probably because (at least on my computer in Safari) when you try to set the decision date with the little date picker it sets the Complete date instead. and unless you retype your complete date, it stays at whatever mistake you make in the decision date field.

Surely this has already occurred to some of you and has been explored, so enlighten me. If the "Decision Rendered" notice doesn't appear until 72 hours after the date of the decision itself, has anyone called in while still staring at "Early Action Complete" on their status checker and been given a decision over the phone?

Regarding the confusion with the link, I found a profile from last year that helps clearing this up: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/MeTalkPrettyOneDay

Quote from her profile:
Submitted early enough to qualify for the non-binding Early Action program, which guaranteed me an early response.
(*)12/05 - Status check indicates the AdComm has made a decision, but that I will have to wait for snail mail. Status check indicates the decision was made on 12/02, although the status check didn't change to "Decision" until 12/05. Many other applicants had a link to the admitted students' discussion site on their status check. I did not. As a result, I assumed I was deferred or possibly even rejected.
(*)12/08 - Received the acceptance package, with an invitation to apply for the Dean's Scholarship ($105,000 in merit aid)!
(*)Explanation of admitted students' link: Everyone who had the link on their status check got in. However, people invited to apply for the Dean's Scholarship got in but did not have the link. Rejected and deferred applicants didn't have the link either. So, link = good, but no link does not necessarily equal bad. Some people on TLS called Admissions, and Admissions seemed to indicate the link was not supposed to appear... so don't be surprised if the link doesn't show up in future years.
(*)03/09 - Received Dean's Scholarship offer via snail mail! $105,000 (3-year total; merit). I'm in complete shock - I did NOT expect to get this scholarship!
Best of luck to everyone!

Yes, this has occured to me, but there seems to be a bit of a difference between the dates. It seems like this was an October admission DR. If I had gone complete in October, I would call.
