Ok. To people who believe in "jinxing", these words are anathema. Please, everyone refrain from casting apocryphal assurances like these!! I am EAC 10/28 with borderline numbers (75% LSAT, but 25% GPA), and I feel ANYTHING but assured that just because I dodged the early bullets that I am safe from taking one between the eyes.

If I get into Cornell Law before Christmas I will strip naked and run through the snow. But, if I don't, I will just die. So please, no jinxing!

For example, Duke's charts show they let in almost 80 or 90 people last year with a GPA of 3.49 and below and LSAT of 168 and below (I may be fudging the range, but I have done the comparison) and yet no green dots appear in the range on the graph.

I agree with you that LSN is not too accurate. And the Duke's Median is 3.74 and 169 so half the people are below those medians in one form another. 25% Percentile is 3.61 and 167 so a quarter of those had scores lower than that.

I'm hoping for the best but nothing is assured. i will attend cornell if accepted (hopefully i didn't jinx myself)

I mean they are BOTH below 3.49 AND a 168. The graph is on Duke's LSAC profile. The concensus here is usually below both medians=DOOM, but obviously that isn't always true (I just checked and the actual number is 47 admitted, so maybe not as strong as I had hoped). And you are above one median, and barely below the 25% of the other. I won't make any predictions but don't count yourself out. :D

does it state if all 47 were URMs? Or son and daughters of senators?

Indeed. Good luck to you. There are people under both medians that surely do get in. Just that its very rare. But all the power to them that do.

Thanks. Sorry to Duke-jack the thread. The point is that is not the case for either of us at Cornell (or really anyone at EAC on this thread) so damn it I will forge bravely on in my unsubstantiated optimism.

Good Morning! Thanks 0 L for getting that info! Wow...what a terrifying holiday. I'll be sure to have some strong egg nog nearby or maybe some hot chocolate with vodka and mint liquor. Well at least we'll no (more or less) one way or the other in two weeks. :?

EAComplete 11/3

GPA = median
LSAT = <25th%

This is a reach so I've never really expected an acceptance. But I do feel a little hopeful having not been deferred already.

Thanks for the info, 0L. I'm EAC 11/19 (if that even makes sense given the 11/16 deadline) so I've resigned to waiting till the 24th.

BTW, is your tar a depiction of how narwhals came to exist? Either way it is rad.

I was EAC 10/17, and it looks like today my status switched to DR 12/7. Above the 75th for both. Any thoughts?

What time did this happen? Business hours on Wednesday? Or after hours?

Not sure... I checked on Monday, still EAC. I checked today a few minutes ago, and it was at DR.

so we agree that thus far, no news is likely good news? I am EAC complete 11/16, and while I agree that they are probably going in chronological order, I do think that they would have to defer/ reject people from the later batch between now and mid-December, considering they probably wanna get out all the acceptances before the 24th?

GPA and LSAT at median. Really really want Cornell, wrote why Cornell (international law)
